Query Regarding legends run for act 7

Hello all!

I would like to know about the legends run timer start?

If I go in the quest and just scout up paths and exit, will the arbitary timer start and I need to complete it in 24 hours?
Or does it start when I do my first fight when both champs run towards each other after clicking fight and the loading?

    I know that. But from when does the 24 hours timer start?
    Is it once you get in the quest or when you start your first fight?
