I'm happy... in a sense that we received more Epoch shards. Honestly with all the content they've pumped out this month and all these different rewards... I don't mind that lackluster calendar. My expectations are set for Christmas day... hopefully I can push to Thronebreaker by then!
I'm pretty sure it's some sort of marketing strategy to create disappointment on purpose. Cause honostly in the end it's free extra stuff, so you can't really complain about it. It's just a thing regular players look forward to it or are hyped for, like kids for Christmas. So it's kinda like getting underwear instead of toys as a Christmas gift as a child.
I don't believe that Kabam does not realize that people aren't gonna be happy with solo crystal star shards. Certainly when it gives us less solo shard over 2 weeks then you can get in the daily events, like leveling up or playing arena (I believe u get 15 000 in one day? ). Those Epochs give u a chance to open 2 crystals, probably giving u a 3 or 4 star champion, but when u just opened 18 of those crystals this month, it doesn't feel like anything special. Just looking at last year and comparing with this calendar, they must really know that people or gonna be dissapointed. So my theory is that they do this on purpose. Because dissapointment actually also creates quite a lot of hype. People check the forums more, look online and spend more time thinking and talking about the game. And they won't lose players over it, cause if u like the game, u are not gonna quit because you got less free stuff then last year, right? This kinda thing happens so often that I don't believe it to be an oversight or anything like that. I think it's marketing, so let's not get sucked into it and enjoy the game for why we really like it
I’m gonna be completely honest. This calendar is utter ****. Like really ****. However, with all the good things which happened this month I don’t mind too much.
Its like going back to 2016 because even 2017 had better rewards, but the game is mainly aimed at whales now and making mass $ not so much ftp guys few yrs ago ya could ftp and go pretty well now its spend or stay small.
Well. This is literally the worst holiday celebration we've received since 2017. And by that I mean at the 2017 state of the game there were more valuable resources in the calendar, that today still would be more worth than this joke
