Last year, cavs got a generic 5* awakening gem as a gift (which were way rarer back then than they are now), and the calendar was lightyears ahead of this one. No way is the gift good enough to warrant this kinda downgrade
Long story short: just in the last month or so. Cav cyber weekend. Strike one. This calendar. Strike two. Will there be a strike 3 by the end of the year?
Long story: By each passing day I feel that the return of investment in this game keeps falling more and more. Let me just showcase what i mean. For context, i am a mid tier player, cav, got about 15 6*, about 12 max 5*, and on my way to thronebreaker (can’t really get the motivation to get it, even though it should be fairly easy with my roster).
Now, getting back. Imagine that you fight your way through countless fights during the monthly eq, side quests, story. You get some shards and finally have enough to open a 6*. Guess what, a rhino, an ironman, king groot, etc. This makes you think. Why bother going through the tedious and more often than not, frustrating fights? In all honesty regardless of what 5* I get, I aint that excited. So that leaves the 6*, where you get (me at least), more often than not, crappy champions which generates frustration. This frustration keep accumulating.
So, you hope that being an awful year (FK 2020!) you might get some superficial accomplishment through a game (be it mobile, console, pc). Most of us here choose mobile for the sheer convenience of playing whenever. Said easy accomplishment come in this game through either free stuff or awesome rewards for hard content. The hard content, not only is not fun to play, but as I said before, the rewards are rng, and more often than not, ****.
I know it’s rather pathetic expecting a game to raise your spirits, but i think i am not the only one who feels somewhat of a reward when you get something nice in this game. (Understand that this game is important for me in the way a mobile game should be - if i take a long dump, or have some dead times at work, or just being bored at home, i play it, otherwise, life comes first).
I had high hopes for cyber weekend. That was a joke for cavaliers. I considered it an insult to us the players that keep this game going. I mean, i want to give you money, but only if i consider it worth it. For what they offer, i said pas (for most of it). Let’s call it strike 1.
Didn’t really have the time for the game in the past few weeks, so I wasn’t really expecting the calendar (so take into account i had absolutely no expectations for this), but then i saw it. I understand that you don’t want to mess the economy of the game by giving away tier 5 cc selectors and dozens of t2a, but gimme a break. This calendar is beyond a joke. It’s insulting by the simple fact that you think that we should be grateful you give us something. Think about the people that WASTE hours each day on this game. I know that you don’t care about their time wasting, i mean, you count on that, and on them being greedy and gamble away their money on some polygons and worthless stuff. But, give us some rewards for our time and money spent, I mean, you cahrge 100$ for 3000 units, which doesn’t really get you too much. Just for comparison, i got 5 triple A games on ps 4 now through their end of year sale, a new synthetic christmas tree and some decorations. This should be really putting things into perspective. So yeah, if i spend (and i did) hundreds of dollars in a mobile game, you bet your a** i want to feel good about it. Not occasionally, but everytime i play it! I already see the snowflakes coming at me and telling me about the free to play players, and how any little thing helps them out and how they are grateful - kaban doesn’t care about you, i mean they care in the ideea that you spread info and laud the game hoping some guy with gambling problems finds this game and wastes thousands of $ on it - a cheap marketing scheme. Kabam cares about us, the ones that pay their devs salaries, the ones that generate them profits. I get it, it’s a business, and as a business, you should get as much reward as poasible with as little effort put it. I guees that’s why such an insult of calendar comes out. So this is strike 2.
Now i am waiting for strike 3, and after 4 years of playing and giving them hundreds of dollars, i can wholeheartedly leave this behind.
I am not an attention wh*** and i know that me quiting doesn’t really count, but kabam, from me personally this is the last chance i am giving you. I supported the game through the years (not by much, but way more than you deserve for the effprt put it), and if you don’t see the purpose of considerig every PAYING customer as a valued asset, your are just running a gambling machine and not a game for marvel enthusiast.
Issue an appology on how disconnected you are from curent in game economy and admit your mistake, add another calendar, and give some gifts fitting for 2020 (being a pandemic and all) and I bet you that the good faith you will get from players will be returned tenfold. The idiot whales will keep spending, we all know that, (you hope for that ;p ) and for them some 5cc wont count, but throw us, the little guys, a bone, and give us something worthwhile.
Ps: do something that gives you pleasure and say pass to everthing and anything that generates frustration (especially if it’s a pass time).

Thats exactly how I feel about the game in its current state. If it wasn't for the time, money and being pretty much on house arrest I'd have binned this game. They are so out of touch with the users and if they think that calander is suitable for 2020 they are very much deluded.

Watch the Christmas gift be worse than last year lol... probably the cav and uncollected players will get the same things, and it’ll be less than a fourth of the value of what thronebreakers get...
Looking back it’s made me realise that even the 2018 calendar is back, wow lol. At least that one had 5 star shards. People were even disappointed with the 2019 calendar for being a tiny upgrade, but in 2020 we’ve literally gone back to 2017 minus the GGCs being better

Oh my bad just looked back at the 2017 one, some 5 star shards, some 4 star, an extra GGC and a T2A lol. We’ve gone back to 2016 boys
Unless they're planning on seriously bumping the solo crystal rewards, this calendar is a joke. I'm still uncollected, mostly due to bad luck in champion pulls, which have left me lagging behind all the cavs and tbs. The epoch shards gave me all 3* champs, so totally useless. I'm one of those guys who actually spend a little money on this game, and it feels more and more pointless.
Uncollected players like myself need more t5 basics and more t2 alphas to make a push for the cav title.

I'm hoping for this to be a mistake. For all the bad rewards up to day 14 to be just placeholders for something way, way better. But I'm losing both hope and patience here. Looks like I have to find some other game to spend my time and money on. This is slowly turning into a game only for the whales.
