It's whatever really, free stuff, blah blah.. I just want to know the thought process behind the solo shards. Kabam is well aware and have acknowledged they're the most useless resource in the game, so why would they include them in this calendar? I'm not mad, just genuinely curious lol

As others have said, they most likely are in a meeting figuring out how or what to even reply with. Some stuff mods can jump on and reply or shut down easily, things like this thought prob require a few phone calls or a good zoom meeting to figure out what the next step is

As someone who works in a product/service based industry, I can assure you that this wouldn’t fly with anyone that I deal with, and I fully understand/reply (especially if it means communication during out of office hours).

I really try to avoid complaining about free stuff—and I think it's best in *most* cases to be happy about login rewards. This one is just flat out disappointing and deflating. Kabam was on a roll with a lot of good content this month and I was feeling excited about playing the game again—something I hadn't felt in a while. This calendar just set that back quite a bit.

Initially, I thought its OK afterall they are free items. But rethinking about it made me realise nothing is free, the amount of money and time the summoners spend on progression is aimed at rewards ( same with your job and bonus increments etc.) and when those rewards are solo crystal shards, it stings. So the outrage is justified.

Additionally, I see moderators replying in bug threads, so my initial point of non working hours falls flat. It would have made a huge difference if they only could have had a protocol of acknowledging such huge outrage threads with a simple " we are looking into it and will reply by XX time".

I don’t think that’s what anyone rational is suggesting. However, they removed the 4* challenge objective that awarded a 10% T5c crystal, and there’s been significant speculation some part of the gift involves T5c shards. Not unreasonable, especially since mods responded to the 4* challenge queries by claiming to be checking on it and it’s been asked about time and again.

Oh, I get the connection. I speculated the same. I was wrong. I guessed it might be because of the same reason, but let's be honest. The Holiday Calendar isn't about to get people to TB. In fact, ever since the introduction of the Title, people have wanted nothing but T5CCs. Only, they're THE most rare Resource in the game. Which means they're not going to fall from the sky. The OP implied Cav Players wanted Resources to get them to TB. That's not all going to happen from logging on.

Meh. Free is free. I just don't want Epoch Shards. The gift of RNG with a large possibility of something useless for me.
Ok. I will be honest: the calendar has always offered rare resources (T2a in 2017?) as well as pRNG shots at other rare items.

It would take a Herculean act of self-deception to conclude this calendar as it currently stands is consistent with any past Holiday Calendar or is somehow more than straight rubbish for a player who has progressed beyond the game tutorial.

I didn't say it was consistent. I expressed how I felt about it. I don't keep records of these things each year and compare them. I don't do the same with Christmas presents. Lol. People can feel free to say how they feel about it. I just said the only thing that bothered me was the Epoch Shards replacing actual Shards.
