I’ll do bwcv. Bwcv starts the fight with 3 Claire charges. Each time she hits the opponent or gets hit she will nullify one of there buffs but she has to consume a Claire charge when she does so. This means if you has no charges you can’t nullify until you get more. Claire has 3 modes. They’re called curse of blood, curse of plague, and curse of hellfire. You start the fight in blood and can move to the next curse by doing a fourth light attack. In each curse she is immune to a debuff, bleed, poison, and incinerate respectively. Claire’s second medium places the debuff of the mode she’s in on the opponent. Claire gains 4% of max power each time a debuff is placed on her that she is immune to and gets a Claire charge. This also happens when she tries to place a debuff on the opponent that they’re immune to. That pretty much covers her base abilities to let’s move to special attacks. Her sp1 places three debuff on the opponent of the mode you’re in. Her sp2 places a buff immune debuff on the opponent and also does something special based on the mode she’s in. While in blood, she heals based on a percentage of the damage she does. In plague she power steals and in hellfire she does energy damage. Her sp3 consumes and resets her charges back to 0, does extra damage based on the number of charges consumed, and gives her a death touch passive much increased the potency of her abilities. (To my knowledge death touch mainly affects the special effects off of her sp2 but I could be wrong about that). Claire’s ideal matchup is one in which the opponent is immune to one of the three debuffs she can place or one in which the opponent triggers a ton of buffs. If you’re fighting an opponent who’s immune to one of her debuffs you normally want to be in that curse so that you can gain charges. An example of a matchup like this is Hyperion. Hype is immune to poison and Claire’s sp2 has power control so she can consistently have enough charges to nullify hype’s power gain and you can cycles sp2s for power control. The second type of ideal matchup is one in which the opponent gets a lot of buffs. The reason these are good matchups is the buff immunity she places on her sp2 counts as the opponent being immune so she gains charges. This would be a fight like cull obsidian. When she has buff immunity on cull, if he activated his sp1 bwcv gains a lot of power and 10 charges because his special activated 10 buffs. As I somewhat talked about in the ideal matchups part her normal rotation is switching to the mode she works best in the specific matchups you’re in. This is either the mode the opponent is immune to the debuff she places, the mode that makes her immune to a debuff you’ll receive, or the mode that gives her sp2 the best utility in that matchup. Most matchups that you don’t need something specific you want to be in curse of hellfire because the energy damage off of her sp2 in this curse does a ton of damage, making it her highest damage special. After you know which mode you should be in you normally want to build to an sp2 and cycle those. If you get to 20 charges, which means you can’t gain power from gaining more charges, you then want to throw an sp3 to reset them. I know this is long but there was a lot to cover. I hope this helped and feel free to tag me if you have more questions.
