I doubt it. Progression is getting very easy especially with the GGCs
I just automatically assume someone's selling champs if I see a 2* in the same picture as a 6*. Although I do see your point, it could have been some major GGC luck on OPs part.
Goldpool event was in about a month ago, and the 6* is barely leveled. I'm just guessing he got crazy lucky

i did sell some of them but i did not want to but i was tented with the 5* shards so close i was at 9,213 shards that is how i got 5* modok

yes you could do it if you time all your attacks and not get hit but if you slip up once than you are dead

It sounds to me like you haven't been playing long enough - in in-game playtime, not calendar time - to build up the skills necessary to progress up to doing higher content. The problem is at this point in the game it is much easier to get higher rarity champs: 4*, 5*, and even 6* champs. So when someone runs into hard content, a new high rarity champ bails them out. If you want to do content X, you just wait to pull something that can overpower that content, and you're set.

That's not how this game works. You can get away with that for a while, but you will eventually run into a brick wall. The players who started playing long ago couldn't do that: when Realm of Legends first came out there was no way to just pull a 6* champ and breeze through it. You had to learn how to play well, you had to learn how the champs in RoL worked, and how your roster worked, and put that all together with enough sustained endurance to beat the fights.

Today, you can farm RoL for potions in a minute or two per fight with strong roster. But the skills necessary to do RoL with the 3* and 4* champs that existed when it first came out are only considered moderate level skills. You don't need to intercept anyone, you don't need to deal with complex mechanics like falter or nodes like Acid Wash or even Special Three attacks, which are not enabled in that content. If you haven't been spending your time trying to get better at playing the game, RoL could seem like a very steep difficulty wall. But that's probably because you've been easy-mode-ing your way through the game using overpowered champs relative to the content.

In the sense of accidentally missing a parry or mis-evading a special, one mistake isn't likely to kill you in RoL unless you're trying to do it with 3* champs or something. But if you're dying to a "slip up" that suggests to me your slip ups are not small mistakes, but large mistakes where you make an error and eat a whole combo, and this rattles you into doing something else wrong which causes you to take more damage, and then before you know it you're up against the wall mistiming block after block until you die. That isn't a slip up, that's a death spiral. It happens to all of us, although usually in much harder content than RoL. This too is something you have to learn to avoid.

For a player who hasn't completed Act 4 yet, RoL can be a pretty stiff challenge, especially to do itemless, if for no other reason than the fights can be much longer than they are used to. But to be frank, on a scale of one to ten where one is Act 1 and ten is the hardest content in the game, RoL is barely a 3. Uncollected EQ is arguably much harder.

Everyone eventually runs into content like this: content that seems impossible to do, or super expensive to do. Some give up. Some try to get better. Pick one.

It can be done itemless easily now. When I did it the first time I farmed revives and did it with no units spent. The rewards were actually good at the time. They were going to remove it when LOL came out but decided to leave it. It's used for practice now and for farming healing potions. For newer players it's kind of a rite of passage.
