Alliance war matchmaking

My alliance has been placed up against some really over leveled champs for AW, my alliance mates are very underleved and we can't get past the first korg, is there a way to fix this, or does this have to do with the new season?

Very common thing. Our alliance also matched with a very tough alliance in the previous battle. The matchmaking algorithm is being built better right now.

AW matchmaking is based on your Alliance War Rating, so sometimes you get tough matches, sometimes easier but mostly it will be par to your alliance level.

We lost a handful of really good players in the offseason. This season's first 4 wars have been against previously platinum alliances. You just have to take the **** and smile. We are a previously g1 alliance. I wonder how these platinum alliances are getting their war rating low enough to face us if they put a stop to tanking.
