CGR Vs Hyperion!

Hello There! This thread is inspired by @War_Bird and @Kill_Grey on the KD thread and I want an answer who do you think is better CGR or Hyperion both are incredible champs but only one Can win.........

As far as I see CGR:

- Armor Breaks
- Bleed Immunity
- Incinerate Immunity
- Fate Seal
- Power Gain
- Furies + Cruelty + Precision + Vigilance Buffs
- Does Incinerates on first SP1 (2-3 at least)
- Suicide Friendly
- He's Synergies make other champs better like Punisher 2099 or Og Ghost Rider

Hyperion's utilities:
-armor breaK
-poison immunity
-passive power gain helps in spamming specials without doing basic attacks
-good for evade matchups through sp1 spam
- incinerates
- good for thorns matchups through sp1 spam
- good for high power gain matchups through sp1 spam
- can reverse regen through sp1 spam
- above average energy resistance
- good void counter
- good havok and mr sinister counter due to low crit rate
Not saying he is better than cgr but hyperion's got lots of utilities.
He regens too.

but seriously, does anyone use Hyperion and regen? Whenever I try to do it one of the charges expires right before they’d become a regen buff

Yes i do when my hype gets low on health.
The secret is to know when hyperion would convert his one charge to power gain.

CGR can get things done even withought much utilties. Plus how can hyperion high power gain matchups with sp 1 spam? CGR can do it with two combos , heavy charge , sp 2 . If the opponent doesnt die , damnation debuff powerlocks them .
For regeneration countering , CGR can stop all buffs with his damnation debuff. Moreover his pure damage makes most of the regeneration pointless . And also he have lot of armour break debuffs .
Void is not much of a pain when he dies in 20 secs .
CGR is also a awsome counter for mr sinister becuz he wont be heal from CGR's sp 2 becuz of damnation debuff.
I think u dont have him u missed wht all things his damnation debuffs can do . Most of the videos in youtube only talks abt his huge damage . Thats why most of the people consider him not to have any utilities. If i remember it right , he is the only cosmic champion with buff control .

As someone whose first rank 5 is Hyperion and now has a 6star rank 2 CGR. CGR is definitely better. All utility that Hyperion has, CGR also has them. Apart from the poison immunity and the special intercept. CGR also has his immunities both bleed and incinerate immune. As for rotations, CGR doesn't need the non dexing part except for high health pools like act 7 bosses and LOL. Otherwise he'd still Nuke opponents after the first sp2 ends. He sucks against mystics just like Hyperion does. He has incinerate on sp1 just like Hyperion does and hyperion's is RNG based. CGR incinerate is flat. Powerlock,fate seal can also be referred to as hyperion's ability to semi perma stun. Damage wise CGR wins with a margin.
If you're planning a legends run, CGR will definitely do it faster. Also after CGR my next cosmic is Hyperion. I don't have a corvus at any rarity higher than 3. I have a maxed out CMM who I don't really use as much anymore. CGR takes this fight. Hyp was and is still a beast. CGR is a Mastiff and Hyperion is a Rottweiler.

I am not saying cgr cannot do all this. I am just telling about the utilities which hyperion has.

Lets be clear here . I love hyperion and i am even looking for him right now . But i personally think CGR is a bit better than him. Even i thought CGR was impractical at first but after starting using him, i started to appreciate how many things he can get done.
