With all the new Mutants, is Colossus still a top 3 mutant?

I wonder if he is. We’ve got gods like omega, Mags, Horseman AA, and Apoc who can do a lot, so where does Colossus rank?

Yea his flashy damage is preventing people from seeing his utility. Ever since I have pulled and ranked him up to rank 4, he has been my go to counter for miss and evade as well as Korgs and Killmongers. His synergies are quite OP too. He suffers from the 'flashy-number' syndrome as I'd like to call it.

If I'm speaking my mind, Colossus is #6 behind OR, Mags, AA, Poco, and Prof. All he has is armour ups and a couple immunities. What puts him so high is the rare huge damage that's also practical. But that requires a synergy. So take away that synergy, and he drops really far down on the list of top Mutants. I'm expecting a ton of disagrees on this.

Technically speaking Apocalypse also needs Synergies to shine. He as a lone member is an OK mutant, but arguably not better than Collosus . In fact, the point of Poco is to bring other team members that will benefit from having him so... your own argument can be used against your own argument.

So I don’t have a colossus at a high star rating so it’s hard to compare but I’d put omega, mags, apoc, and AA in front of him.

I'd say he's #6-7 personally,the list is #1mags
#2 omega
#3 AA
#4 apoc
#5 prof X
#6-7 I'd say is a tie between Colo and Havok, if you want utility and damage without synergies Havok would be better, but Colo defeats him in regards of immunities and the damage is not even close when you add in the omega red synergy

It’s Magneto, Colossus, Omega, when speaking on solely the champ.

If including horseman team combos into consideration, then it’s Magneto (solo) and Cable with Apocalypse tied for first, then Stryfe as Horseman, then Wolverine as horseman.

My top 3 is Magneto then Omega Red then Colossus, although I switch OR and Colossus rankings often.
Magneto Red is the clear cut number one, with a sharp gap between him and everyone below him. The next few spots are all closely clumped together.

In my estimation, Colossus is still holding his own compared to the rest of the field; I am not seeing much from all the other mutants that would overtake him. Don't have Prof X, whose Abyss solos seem to be the hot new thing, but its not like he is suddenly better than Colossus just because of Abyss solos.

There seems to be a lot of hype over the Horseman version of X-champion, but Horseman Colossus gets just as much benefit. So the argument that X-champion should be higher ranked because of the horseman version, is invalid.

No, you're missing the point. Colossus isn't #6 because of synergy reliance, he's #6 with synergies. If you were to take those away, he'd fall way down in the top Mutants. And Poco's a beast on his own either way.

Recently r5'd high sig and he's a beast in AQ. I have a maxed OR too but not running suicides. Obviously without suicides Colossus is way ahead of OR.

Tough to compare AA as AA is like the ultimate 6th man, pinch hitter, closer (you get what I'm saying). Most of us probably have a 4/55 high sig AA. When it's his time, he shines.

Apoco's damage really isn't anything special without synergies and it's a pain to ramp him up in those cases.

Apocalypse doesn’t need synergies. And for ramp up if he fights a mutant, he only needs one fight to reach 4 genetic code.

He has phenomenal synergies, yes. But does not need them for his own sake.

Rate the mutant as a champ alone ..not as a Horseman ...not everybody has Apoc right now and without synergy (especially Omega ) , Colossus is a trash hitter, his crit rate is 1 of the lowest in the game . Mags and AA destroys stand alone.

I had colossus, omega, and AA when I cleared 6.2/6.3/6.4 and I think I used colossus more than the other two. Immunities, a little extra damage on well timed blocks. Big numbers.
