Just How Good Are Ghost and Quake

Disclaimer: I am new-ish to the game. I started playing years ago at the beginning but took like a 3 year hiatus.

So on my roster currently completing Act 4, 100% I’ve been rolling with the Warlock, Sunspot combo. Synergies have been great for Sunspots incinerate and Warlocks poison as well. I recently unlocked 4 star versions of Quake, and Ghost. I keep seeing that if I learn them “it’s over for act 5” but when I use them I just don’t see that big of an upgrade to what I have now.

So is it worth investing the resources now to get ghost, and quake ranked up or is it okay to stay with what I have now?

never never never take up a champ that you don't like using or you won't use. if you know how quake and ghost work, but you don't like using them, then no reason to rank them up. if you don't know how to use them yet, then watch some videos and read some guides, because they're alone as the two best champs in the game

Played well, they can dominate 99% of content. I'm like you though, I don't enjoy playing them.

Act 6 exploration was the first time I felt like they were an absolute must. There's some lanes where the option is Ghost / Quake or UnitMan2099...and truly nothing else.

Watch some videos on the 'quake and bake' technique. Give it a go. If you get it and you like doing it then Quake is like a cheat code that will take you through so much content.
Ghost can be a bit tricky to learn as well, but get if you her play style down then she's one of the best champs in the game.
Again there's pretty of videos on YouTube that will help.

Uhm what excuse me.

1.) Ghost can access some of the most nutty damage in the game super easily. On top of that she is immune to like every DOT debuff. Pair her with hood and she gain a very niche utility to not take damage when phasing. *Cough cough special 3s*

2.) Ghost just counters anything in the game unless the opponent has the power to stop evade, gain power or apply DOT effects.

3.) Congratulations you've beaten all content in the game that allows 4 stars to be used.

I can understand that they don’t do a huge difference when in content like act four, but as you get further into act 5 and beyond, the amount of annoying nodes/node combinations/champions that ghost and quake can deal with is astounding. Don’t get me wrong, Sunspot and warlock can do incredibly well, but if you can play ghost and quake well, they can do incredible things.

Quake I can see why you might think that. Her damage isn't great. But the utility she brings to the table mocks everyone in the game.
Ghost is definitely a champ that may seem confusing because you actually want the opponent to hit into your phase, but it's like Quake. She mocks everyone. Ghost just has damage

While this is true, sometimes u might be forced to rank up champs if you have resources expiring and u have no one else to give it to, wat do u do then

Act 4 is a bit of a PITA with them due to the passive AI iirc. Act 5 should be better.

In regards to your question, they're the best in the game. I'd definitely suggest ranking them up as you'll probably be using them in 4* challenges and the like later on, anyways.

Ghost gains a lot from synergies. But the question shouldn't be how good they are, it's how good are you with them.

Never rank champs before you learn if you enjoy their playstyle.
No matter how dominant Quake and Ghost are, if you refuse to use them...they will not help your account progress.

Yeah both are fantastic champs and I reccomend youeanr both as they will bring you far.
