Variant 3 stun immune is ridiculous

Just ranked up my 5* sentinel, trying to complete chap 1 of var 3 hope to get rank up for rank 3 colossus. But the stun immune path is ridiculous (u bound to lose sentinel or one champ on htd (if lucky he gets regen if not thunderquack occurs) and u cant stun him so u just eat the thunderquack. I will try with 6* guilly and punisher after aq and aw, but how am i supposed to get pass htd, modok the stupid specials spam and auto block and korg??? Plz advise me thanks

They’re suggesting you use them even though there’s a damage reduction. I used fury for some fights to 100%. He got the job done, it just took longer. I used ghost for that path but since you don’t have her, my suggestion is to use hulkbuster or sentinel on that first fight and hope for good thunderquack rng. If you don’t get it, back out and go again. He’s the first opponent so eventually you’ll get good rng. Use fury for modok and take down Korg with whoever you normally use for korgs. Because it’s the first chapter the health pools aren’t super high so it’ll be like you’re fighting a normal act 6 defender if you use a non tech champion. Good luck and I hope this works for you.

In that case I would listen to the comments about worrying less about the damage reduction. When I thought about it I’m pretty confident I would have used Cap IW for this fight back in the day with fury in the team(and maybe even today) and ghost/sentinel.He would counter both the regen and the thunderquack. And high BP would be an answer to some of the block damage concerns as well on the path. Likely I brought a korg counter as well and just buckled up for a long korg fight.

Just need to be able to heavy intercept land his sp2 with fury in and intercept or stick to SP3 following trigger the fury.

Also used aegon for the harder fights. HTD was annoying otherwise.G99 should take korg but ideally you can dex his sp1. Modok use 3 hit combos/backdrafts and dex/punish his sp1.

I just fought modok using mags it is doable, i would take less dmg if i just block his sp1. While for korg i would probably bring in doom who has longer reach attack

ahhh variant 3...my first variant exploration. i was blessed with a 6s sentinel early and i was able to r2 him for it. he carried me throughout. my tactic was simply build up charges first then spam heavies and sp2 all the way. being a 6s 2/35 you can just imagine the damage. since my sentinel was unawake i had to hit on blocks and used the sp1 as well on the defenders blocks to build it up. i think sentinel in particular had a personal boost in this variant as well. building up his charges was easy. i just filled my party with my 5s 4/55 high sig yondu, 6s 1/25 rocket, 6s 2/35 pun2099 for the extra buffs.

just watched the vid i posted in the earlier comment...korg was not stun immune there but had buffet. i imagine stun immune would be easier.

I didn't enjoy that HTD fight; as it's a lot of Thunderquack damage. However, he's the first champ, so for me the best option was to use Warlock, but quit and restart if he triggered Thunderquack. Only took a couple of tries before he proc'd Regen twice, which worked much better...

That’s what I did either.
Restart the quest until you proc two regens on HTD.
He is the first fight and the energy needed to reach him ain’t that much.
You have 25% to not proc Thunderquack at all.
So it’s an average of four attempts.
Still better than using revive and health potions.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet or not, but attempt to stun the opponent to bait their heavy, then once they pull back and get ready to drop the heavy, counter it. I don't know if this will help with those nodes, but it helps me with me with other stun immune nodes.

I recently did it with Guardian, Sig 200 means you don't have to worry about much Block Damage. Especially against Energy Attacks...

Though I enjoyed blasting down their health through their Block with Sentinel, doesn't matter if they're being Defensive just melt them with the Double Damage at 100 Analysis. Don't need to worry about Stunning...
