Event crystals now have a timer?

The event crystals that are coming in, now have a timer to them?

The image shows 27 days timer for the crystal. Can someone from Kabam team confirm if the crystals will the crystals also go away once the timer ends, or will the crystals stay?

I know the timer is probably only for the event, but i hope the timer is not introduced because people store crystals for mega openings.

Oh wait nvm, mis-understood. Traditionally, after an event, you can't earn the crystals anymore but they still stay in your inventory untill you open. Idk in this case tho.

Wait. What are you trying to say? This is only hand to hand crystal with a very limited pool mainly for the side quest and only obtainable from there as well. It won't make any sense if they stayed. It doesn't have any affect any other place such as incursions.

Buddy, incursion sectors are dependent on the number of 5 star champs that you have. I'm on the border and beyond which I'll be pushed into a higher sector that i cant fight right now.

What i want to know is, that the timer is not on the crystals that we have claimed. I don't want to open them now, or within the next 27 days. Maybe after a few months. So i want to know that the timer is only for the shards, and not for the crystals claimed.

I have seen BG holding onto crystals long after the event has ended. But, convert the shards into crystals because sometimes, the game does not allow you to do that and you may need to contact support.

Yeah he was holding, but with the recent cleaning that kabam told us about, it feels that they might have brought in the timer to push people to open them within the time limit.

You must be new if you are seeing this for the first time. Event specific crystals always have timers, but the crystals don't go away after the event ends. Also, I have no idea what this has to do with spring cleaning.

You must be new if you are seeing this for the first time. Event specific crystals always have timers, but the crystals don't go away after the event ends. Also, I have no idea what this has to do with spring cleaning.

I'm not that new to the game. Been playing for over 10 months now. This is my first time seeing event crystals with timer under special crystals section though. We used to get the crystals shards, and then get the crystals from store section. This time it's different because the grand master h2h crystals are now in the special section, and not the store.

The reason why I'm bringing spring cleaning here is, kabam told us that they would auto open crystals that people are keeping for collection's sake as it was taking up their server resources.

So to overcome that hoarding, a solution that could be introduced is, giving timer to event crystals that will auto open once the event ends. This way people will not be able to hoard them unnecessarily.

That spring cleaning just for the super old crystals from over 2 years ago.
(Since you’ve only been playing for 10 months you’re crystals aren’t going anywhere)
So just be prepared 2 years from now😂😂

This has always been the case. Every week or so there are crystals with timers added to the vault, so it shouldn't be something that new

Depends on the ISO situation. I have a lot of skill ISO and I am not planning to upgrade any skill champ in the near future. I could hold onto this crystal and open them when I really need skill ISO. The only champs I don't have are BW, BWDO and DD(classic). None of these re going to affect my roster. So, it makes sense for me to hold on to them and open them so that I don't need to sell ISO.

As for OP, he does not want to progress to the next incursion tier, since he feels they are too difficult for him, which makes little sense. Incursions are optional content. Progress quick to get the next title and get more champs.
