RSS Feed

Hi, the old forum generated RSS feeds that could be subscribed to and our alliance found them extremely handy. We had major updates posted directly from Kabam picked up and links sent directly into our community chat.

Does this new forum support RSS? I can't seem to find it if it does. If it doesn't, is it possible? Do you think it's something that could be turned on? People were using it.

    What is an RSS feed?

Think about the email app on your phone, how you scroll through your inbox and see an overview of your mail. Your mail app keeps track of what you've already read or not, and shows you a nice little preview of each email with a big bold subject title, the leading snippet of text, and the date/time.

There are apps out there meant for managing RSS feeds, which are used to subscribe to content on the web like posts from a particular blog, news articles, or forum posts from Kabam for example. They're a lot like your email app, giving you a concise and organized overview of any new content on the web which you were interested in following. You tap on the preview and it takes you to the entire original content.

This kind of functionality is powered by an RSS feed, that must be provided by content generators for RSS clients to be able to subscribe to, downloading the feed often to check for any new content it should be listing.

If you listen to any podcasts, you'll be familiar with this, all podcast apps are powered by RSS. It's how your app knows about new podcast episodes being available.

Our alliance used to use the Kabam forum RSS feed to be made aware of important announcements from Kabam.
