Inability to select which rank up gem to use.

I am trying to use a 2017 3-4 rank up gem on medusa but the game is forcing me to use a cosmic 3-4 gem on her. Does anyone know if there is a way around this? Also, I can't seem to find how or where to go to submit a ticket.

    hello, I just sent a ticket to Kabam support, hoping that they give me back a Skill rankup gem. I had 3 2017 rankup gem and I couldn't use them.
