What's good about Stark Spidey?

I'm just curious what you like about him. I don't use him, and I wont probably R5 him, since I don't enjoy his ramp up with him being squishy. Right now, I am ranking P99 over him, as I find P better for me.

i enjoy the big yellow numbers, the evade is a great safety net in case i mess up, the power drain is amazing, the taunt is very useful, and his animations are just so clean

Power drain, huge damage, shocks, stun, taunt, easy ramp up. I would respect your decision to rank up an alternative champions but Punisher is just not a good choice. If you are looking for a tech to rank up I would wait. That class has a few good champs (Ghost, Warlock, Hulkbuster, Guardian etc) Punisher won't do much for you though so I would wait on the tech rank ups.

It doesn’t matter that he’s squishy, you never get hit with him. He is an innately intercept-focused character who can also avoid most specials, so there’s no issue with that. Duped he crits very frequently so he hits insanely hard without even needing specials. His rampup is only bad against Korg and spite, and obv against Annihilus (taunt), but otherwise 10 dexes is not really bad for all the damage you start doing. And you don’t always have to build to 10 if you are getting cornered; you can easily weave in more throughout the fight.

He is imo the best all or nothing counter since he has a very accessible taunt and an emergency power drain; and even if those two fail, you can L1 stun lock for enough time to dish out a ton of damage before they wake up and smack you. His special avoidance is really only second to Tigra and Ghost.

I would definitely say he is worth using

I really like my 5/65 Spidey Stark. Fun champ, good damage and utility (as pointed out).

He’s a better than what some think of him nowadays. His only drawback is not being available as a 6star (with the slight increase stats). I don’t see anything wrong with his design, he’s not just for everybody and that’s normal. Ghost is not for everyone just like Quake, Tigra, Aegon and etc. He’s high skill dependent, minimal to no blocks and don’t get hit. I used him to solo P2099 boss in 7.2. The past few AW defense tactics have rendered him a bit useless with the damage cap (Protect) and dexterity (stubborn). All we need is a 6star version and he’ll resurface.

He was one of my favorite champs to play with b/c of the simple fun factor. But for all of the reasons listed above, he's also very effective and valuable.

Sadly I hardly use him anymore tho. There's a weird bug where I keep either getting clipped or stuck blocking the defender when I try to build my poise charges. It might be an Android issue because with my iPad the problem is not nearly as bad. Has anyone else experienced this?

I’m in the same boat. I had my 5* at r3 for the longest time. He feels squishy and sometimes I die trying to build up the poise. Maybe he can survive a bit longer if I take him up to r5. I completed variant 3 without him but I’m thinking I may r5 him for exploration.

I also like Punisher 2099, i ranked 2 my unawakened 6* the day he got buffed, great "power lock" and damage once he is at overcharge, but i like more Starky and i still don't have him as a 5*

He used to be one of the top champs in 2018. Had him as part of my 5/65 Holy Trinity set. Just don't use anymore because my roster has moved on. Many good things about him as listed above, but the worst downside is probably that his auto evade can sometimes trigger when trying to build Poise and get you hit. Which is not good for him as he's squishy. For whatever reason, the AI can follow up with an additional attack after his auto evade and make contact. I think he's be better if they eliminate the auto evade chance for basic attacks and limit it to specials only.

Okay, thanks everyone. It feels like I'm losing not ranking him, but I always feared poise building and special evade.
He has some kind of better evade/intercept animation? Cuz with normal champs, I'd probably get clipped trying to purposely evade more times, or even backdraft intercept. I'm asking, if he has WL-like animations, because that sweet robot has really comfortable reach and moves.
And about evade, it isnt something you can rely on, can you? I think he has like 63% percent to evade SP, but I might be wrong.
