Grandmasters gauntlet

So if I only want to complete the first 2 paths of the gauntlet I will only get one of the chests? Even though I completed the second path I don't get those rewards?

It's not, you are looking it wrong

4 paths, first give u the completion rewards. Second a chest, third 1 more chest and fourth 1 more chest. So each path gives one reward.
