Torch block proficiency?

So i just took my new r5 into a quest in act 6.2 against a dormamu, and while i melted him, i think i took maybe 8 parries total before he died no direct block damage just parries and i ended the fight on like 60% health? is this normal for torch? there was no special nodes just life cycle

    it was an easy fight im working on exploration i just didn’t realize his nodes i should read more next time smh

    The attack values have dropped tremendously in act 6 but when you can I would still intercept with torch. Prolong his use.
