Emergency maintenance = I lost my place in 4* Blade arena

Here is the situation. It was about 8 hours before the arena ended and at that time I was at 17mil. The plan was to keep grinding till the end and trying to reach 20mil. Then the crash happened that last for at least 3 hours, if I calculated it right.
Obviously, Blade is a great champ so the grinding to get him ain't easy. I didn't particularly have lack of sleep but because the servers was down and I've waited 1h 30min for it to back up but to no avail, I decided to replenish my energy by sleeping for about 1h 30min.
I woke up when it was about 4 hours remaining. I tried to log in but the servers was still kinda unstable and I successfully got in after 30min of struggling. There's nothing wrong with my WiFi and mobile data.

Glad to tell you that I didn't use any units at all for the past 3 days of grinding and didn't plan to do so 'cause I know I can hit 20mil without using units. However, 'cause of the maintenance, I had to use some units and still couldn't make it to even reach 19mil. Lo and behold, my placement was somewhere between 890 to 900.

Now the questions that I have to KABAM:
1) Where is your competency in running this game? There are bugs everywhere in the game, new bugs will come up after every fix, and a few bugs still haven't been fixed from the latest 16.0 update (for example, Mephisto's soul imprisonment still can't nullify Dr.Voodoo's regen at the start of the fight).

2) Clearly it's not my fault of losing my placement to get a 4* Blade. Is there any generous gift away to the players especially to those arena grinders? It's a pain to lose the chance to get Blade because of the stupid emergency maintenance that's clearly someone's fault.

Maybe...if we ask nice they will re run him after the Thor event. They have done that before. But again...we Daman fixes but don't want this game ever shut down...at least not in OUR time zone. But maybe the will consider a third run...

People need to take in account time zones. He may have lost prime time to do arena while other were able to wake up and pass him up at the end because it did not affect him. This down time was during the hours that us time zones would have been sleeping. This happens weekly during maintenance for our is group we have to try to stay up to midnight to try to move in aq after maintenance so we are not too far behind in the morning.

Yeah. That's the truth. When maintenance happened yesterday, it was around 5pm in my time. So technically that's my prime time to do most of the grind until it ends at 1am. When I go to sleep, technically arena grinders from the other side of the world would be in their prime time to grind cause it's now a daytime on their side.

Not true at all. Others could be sleeping during that down time where as others could be grinding due to it being their prime time. Time zones play a huge role in this situation.
