Can we talk about Beta for a sec?

So I was invited to the Beta but I still am noticing that people who have done 7.1 and 7.2 are still not invited when people who are still in Act 6.2 have been. I know we go through this every time and the criteria for this event is still a mystery but... why? Why give a spot to someone who obviously isn’t going to be able to offer feedback in an environment they have never experienced? Is it to re-affirm in some way that this content is still too hard for new Cav players but isn’t incredibly terrible for people who have made it past Act 6? It’s just been lurking in the back of my mind so I wanted to ask the question.

It makes me think that they invite those in Act 6 as a way to be like "Hey look at this content, try it out, it's not as difficult to do, so if you get through act 6 look at all the fun stuff you can do!"
I'm almost certainly wrong, but if I were a dev and had access to the data to see how much of the playerbase hasn't gone past act 6 yet, this is something I would do to try and entice them a little.
Asking a range of players and a range of progression levels allows much more feedback for kabam.
New Cav players are the future 7.2 and 3 players, and when they give their feedback kabam will see that and know who has given it. What I mean by that is if they see feedback from a new Cav saying “this is so hard omg nerf” they will know it’s a new Cav and not necessarily just nerf the hell out of it.
If you only ask TB players, or only Vet Cavs, then feedback won’t necessarily paint the whole picture.
As someone who tested 7.1 and 7.2 when I was still in Act 6 (now TB and explored 7.1 and 2), I got no advantage from being a tester. When i went to do the content for real, I had to relearn all of the nodes and watch videos of better players doing it, and I did no better than I would have without having been a tester.
This is about Kabam getting feedback about content, nothing more.

Can I only use champs I own already
If I own a rank up gem or awakening gem in normal game, can I use it in beta, if so, does it disappear from real game? How often can I (re)use these resources?
Can I open crystals? I’m a hoarder, if I pop 10 6*s in beta do the shards disappear from real game? Any champ I open in beta doesn’t transfer right?
Basically, you're playing a different game account that just happens to look like your account at the start of beta. Once you log into the beta, those two accounts go their separate ways.
