When he said that, I knew Acid Wash Mysterio was going to be included. Everyone planning to complete these fights should have seen it coming.
I was already expecting it, didn't think they would be generous with the armour break node though.
They kind of had to. Otherwise we would have a grand total of 2 good counters or else power through with Nick fury or some other champ. KG and Manthing would have been the only 2 able to poison that guy and even manthing sucks with the matador node.
I see why they did but I was expecting much worse. When they said this would be some of the most painful things we've encountered I had already resigned they would give him armour break immunity and make him essentially an abyss fight
I gives him couple good trys and my the best result it was 2% so no more , this week and maybe all next ones will be skipped as well. After those experience I do not know is any sense to play game where developers are focused at making happy end gamers only. This event is not for fun is designed to kick out number of players.

I am Cavalier who was only able to do sinister so far and doesn't have a good counter to this Mysterio. With that being said shut up. I went in knowing full well I would be able to try this event and also realizing I probably wouldn't beat many bosses. However I will still beat as many as I can because the rewards for beating just 1 or 2 are still pretty good. The only person being unreasonable is you. This is the summer of PAIN, not the summer of cupcakes.
The fight isn’t that hard, perhaps out of your skill set atm but honestly not that hard. @Kabam Miike - my question to you and your company is a valid one, why are we seeing this event being hacked on YouTube and offenders having no repercussions. I understand you can’t police everything but there are blatant tos violations happening that imo are ruining this game for many. The offenders know who they are I’m sure kabam as a company are taking measures to eliminate such behaviour but at this point the system is failing. Not many will agree especially those violating the tos but this event and the fact that it can be so easily cheated should be terminated to avoid the vast majority capitalising from illicit behaviour and earning money from people who don’t know better or don’t care about rules and fair play. I hope my msg is clear, after all the **** people are getting away with making money cheating your game people like me have spent ridiculous amounts through your company to advance our accounts. Seems a bit unfair to all who are playing by the rules and actually trying earning their rewards.
I think we as a community should redefine what's considered manageable fights or "doable" fights. People often think that if you can't solo a fight, then it's been made too difficult. We should change that narrative ... to if you can get the fight done by whatever strategy that works for you. Some people have to use revives, boosts etc and that's ok.
You don't have to solo every fight .. and that is not an indictment on how difficult a fight is if you can't.
I assume it will be covered by one of the YouTubers in 24hrs or so, and no I have not reported anyone as it’s out there for the world to see. One voice achieves nothing in these circumstances, I just hope that the necessary action is taken to restore the reputation and integrity of this game before people start to ask bigger questions and demand answers. Example- a company is aware of fraudulent activity and does nothing is then classified as negligent. I’m not accusing kabam of any such thing however it’s well past time to give us back consumer confidence. This statement was in no way meant to offend, merely highlighting that there are far more genuine players spending hard earned money while others get away with ignoring the tos all together. People make mistakes however it seems to be common practice to just let stuff like this slide.

You say you hope kabam does things about this, however just the other day they totally banned a hey bragging about mercing. They have ban waves as well and try to tackle this issue every event.

Then I had a good night sleep, accepted eventhou I am thronebreaker my skill level is more along the lines of a top cavalier player and I don`t have any r3 counters. I leveld up my Voodoo and went for it. Got him down with a couple revives and 196 units word of potions. Some might now feel like that is worth it. But in order to get some nice rewards, you might have to spend a little. If you do not have the skill. HOWEVER!!!! I do hope the following weeks will bring bosses with less specific counters. A bleed version of this boss for example would have been much better.
I don’t think this event is too hard. I’ve managed to solo all 3 bosses so far, 2/3 solos with r3 5* champs (rogue and mysterio). It’s not too hard but it is supposed to be a challenge.
There are quite a few champs that can solo this. If you don’t have any of them, you can either try and use a couple of revives on a champ that you do have that’s an alright counter or just skip this one altogether, it’s just one point towards the peak milestone rewards.

You say that, but I've got 8 R3 champs and 6 T5CC formed - I haven't needed a single one of them so far. All I've done is used Prof X on rogue after I soloed her with a handful of other counters. The rest of my fights haven't been done with 6* R2 either, I've used my 5/65 instead.
This event doesn't need R3 6*, it needs a diverse roster. The difference between a 6* rank3 and a 5/65 is about a boost worth. That is not this huge advantage people think it is. Sure, there may be fights where I need to use my R3 Doom, but the difference between me using my 6*, and someone using their 5*, is about 30% extra hits, or boosting up. The issue here is people not creating diverse rosters built to tackle any challenge.
The reason I, and other TB and developed Cavs, are equipped to deal with SoP is because we've been through the whole game, never skipped content and really worked on building our rosters. I've ranked up champions for 1 specific path, hell, for one specific fight. That's why I have counters for Summer of Pain. It's not because I have a handful of R3s. If someone has raced through content to become Cav, not stopped and spent time developing counters for every conceivable challenge then they are the ones that will struggle with SoP. These fights are not nearly as niche as people think, but they are challenging for the depth of one's roster.
That's why I had Spider gwen ranked up for Rogue, Sunspot for Sinister, Man thing for mysterio. While these rank ups aren't common, they aren't everybody's first choice. And as a result, somebody rushing through content may have made very different rank up choices, namely the classic "Best" champions, and found that their Human torch didn't work for rogue, their apocalypse didn't work for mr sinister, and their doom didn't work for mysterio.

Don’t remember saying it was? Just happens to be that after testing him, king groot, man thing and apoc (I don’t have voodoo as a 5* somehow) I decided iAbom was the best of my option. Not my fault that in 2 years of opening 2-3 cav crystals per week, iAbom is the only featured champ I’ve ever actually pulled is it? Would you prefer the fight appear exactly as it did in act 6 where the only options are manthing and king groot?

Agreed, certainly those who’ve explored Act 6. I’m sitting on 51 R5/R2/3+ champions now, a lot of whom are pretty niche as the generic gods are already maxed out. I dread to think what the real big accounts are packing these days.
It’s people rushing content that find themselves road blocking themselves and then get frustrated. If you pull someone like Ghost early you can breeze through half of act 6 completion far too early for your roster development but get that sense of feeling like it is because you were actually super skilled.
I don't expect this event to be easy. I really don't expect it to be easy. What I don't think is right is that you limit the range of characters for each week. What you have brought this week is without a doubt a disappointment for someone who has been playing this game for years. I am angry. In this game the characters that cause poison are few. You can count them on your fingers. And horribly weak, when it comes to cause damage. And you, Kabam, know that very well. And you bring us a fight with a defender that has no caunter. No character in this game can reverse the activations of the mystery specials. And in which the node only allows passive poison, which can only be caused after you activate special 1. Outside of these conditions, only 10% of the total damage done can be taken. To make it better you have added killer, limiting and further punishing the attacker's game. With a special the misterio will corner you. And an absurd limitation of characters to attack. Do you really believe that the majority will be killing themselves, wasting time trying to pass a ridiculous challenge with infinite hits or spending resources when there is no act 7 to do? The 5* are sick because they can't take any more hits on defense. Our proficiency is extremely outdated and you come up with this fighting nonsense. In which you limit the account of thousands of players. This is very disrespectful. With this event you only facilitate the life of the imbecile who calls himself a mercenary. Can you imagine how much "service" these assholes are getting right now, because you limited the lives of thousands of players? Who not only don't have all the poison triggers available on their account, because they are **** and most of them don't deserve to be worked on, but may not have the great gameplay that you demand in this event? These mercenaries are scattered all over the world. The **** that you banned must be making a lot of profit right now. Because the customers he made along the way are still out there. Have you looked on youtube at most of the videos? They only bring 6* r3 champions to the attack. I am saving resources for act 7 and the abyss of legends. Since I am a knight, it does not pay to spend resource for the limited milestone 6 that you guys provide. I still don't have 6* r3 available on my account. I got tired long ago of playing the game the way you want me to play it. I cancelled the 12.1 update, made another account and play your game my way. I do what I want without cheating. Without wasting my life's precious time or spending a lot of my hard-earned money on the game. This is not a salable challenge. It limits what you have in your account after working hard on it. How many of us players around the world have fought vodoo, king groot, mystery in conditions like this? 505 hits with a 2099 6* r3 guillotine. 505 hits with a nick fury 6* r3. Doing only 10% of the damage. I'm sorry but I don't have that kind of courage. You guys need to stop limiting what attacker can use in challenges. This is ridiculous. This week is not fun at all. And I'm done with the Summer Pain challenge. It is not worth spending resources to reach milestone 6. It's not going to change my bill from water to wine. This challenge is not fun at all. It's been a long time since this game has been fun. That's why I've been playing less and less. Some days I don't even log in. You kicked the knight recruiters in the carina challenge. You kicked the knight recruiters in the gauntlet and now you start kicking the knight recruiters in the summer pain. Be more fair to the knight recruiter.
NOTE: I know there are recruiters who loved destroying the mystery with their nick fury 6* r3, or their guillotine 2099 * r3, or their incredible teddy bear apocalypse 6* r3 at this event creating content for their channel. I know that many people loved this event. If you are one of those recruiters, don't waste your time answering my post. It is not for you. You don't have anything to complain about like I do. Go on with your happy lives, because, of course, you already did your event.

I insisted on using She Hulk to learn her spacing, but this is definitely more of a challenge. I'm enjoying it so far
I did the same. I like the challenge of going for the solos. If needed i could spend a couple revives and clear it easily. And if i dont get the solo by tuesday thats what ill do. But in the meantime im enjoying the challenge of doing it using 0 items

@Saiyan explain to this kind gentleman why King Groot is a near perfect option for this fight.
Sure he may be longer than other champs, but his sustainability and utility for the fight is perfect. And if you can’t handle a longer fight, maybe the Summer of Pain isn’t for you OP.
Luckily I have nobody in the top half of my roster that inflicts poison, so I’m not even going to waste my time trying this week. Lol
The SoP is hard, but of course it is supposed to be. I haven’t got anywhere near killing any 3 of the weeks yet, largely based on my roster, and also I just can’t be bothered with fights that take like 400+ hits to win. I’m not criticising it all, those who like it fine, it’s just not for me.
I don’t think it’s anything to get angry about because the difficulty or limited counters is a problem. It’s for end game players who spend $ or have the time & patience for the long haul fights.
If you have Nick Fury or G2099 or another high-damage champ that doesn’t necessarily rely on special rotation, they work well enough. Probably gonna take NF for this one if Diablo and DV don’t work out.
This is one of the best things Kabam has ever released (I reserve judgment for what is yet to come). I have a TB main account and a Cav alternate account. I've finished all three fights on both accounts. The difference? My roster is not as developed on the alt and it has cost me some revives to get through. I think people are far far to obsessed with soloing these fights because of what they see on YouTube. The rewards for this content are crazy and I fully expect to be spending items in the later weeks on my main account (and it will still be worth it). If you don't have a counter ranked up, then you need to decide if the rewards are ultimately with the resources it will cost to rank up a champ. We don't need watered down content - there is plenty of that in the game that will allow Cav players to progress.

I’ve gone from being badly beaten up to getting mysterio down to 60% with voodoo in less than 24 hours.
Fairly sure I’ll get the solo with a bit more practice.

And while I can’t speak for Antman, there have been a *ton* of people using King Groot for this fight. He’s unironically quite good for it.
