This one event has two halves: a completely free half and a half that benefits people willing to pay. Some people are claiming that the half that benefits people willing to pay in some way taints the free half, so there's no longer really any free thing at all. But the alternative is to separate them, which means there would be a free summoner appreciation event, and then completely disconnected from it, with a different name and a different structure and even launched at a different time so there's absolutely no way to connect the two there would be content event that was *only* available to paying customers, that free to play players had zero access to at all.
Putting them together means we have one event that everyone can participate in, free to play players to some extent, and paying players to a higher extent. Separating them means there's a free event everyone has access to, and a paid event only paying customers would have access to. In my opinion that's worse, and more people would complain about that.
And if anyone thinks there's a third alternative where we have a free event, and then separately an event that both free and paying customers can participate in, that is *even worse*. Because you can't just arbitrarily double the amount of rewards that the free to play players get overall. If we split summoner appreciation into a completely free event and then a separate event accessible to everyone, then the rewards you'd ordinarily see in the one event for free players would have to be split into two events, which would make them half as good. Now people would complain about the anemic rewards in the first event *and* the anemic rewards in the second event, and on top of that compare the low free to play rewards in the second event to the vastly superior rewards in the paid portion of the second event. The optics on that would be the worst of all.

Question do I need to get the Resort Pass Plus to get the bonus Solo objective?
It's not clear atall and hasn't been from the start
Why is there 2 different purchase extras that are the same thing but ones £5 more.
And now they're adding a weekly boost for £5 a pop
This is genuinely a massive disaster
If I buy the pass what the difference between that and the pass plus?
If I buy the pass does that take away the regular milestones?

I want to buy the Resort Pass Plus but I keep reading that people have bought it but are not getting any rewards. And now I read that there is a weekly £5 booster pack coming. It seems never ending.
Also, why does the Resort Pass Plus end of week earlier than the cheaper pass?
Get rid of this disaster of an event and just give us a calendar.

The second thing is a milestone booster. Buying this thing in effect hands you seven milestone completions. In other words, instead of unlocking (meaning, earning that reward) for milestone one, you'd be at milestone eight. Normally the objectives come out one per day, so normally everyone can only earn one point per day. The booster gives you seven more points instantly.
The Summoner Resort Pass package just contains the resort pass. You unlock the bonus paid milestone event, and can earn points in that event by completing the daily objectives, and earning the rewards in that event.
The Summoner Resort Pass Plus package contains the resort pass and a seven day milestone booster. You unlock the bonus paid milestone event just like with the resort pass package, but you also immediately get seven points added to your milestone score in both events.
There are 98 milestones in the Camp (free) and Resort (paid) events. I believe there are 98 days between July 7 and October 13, so you need to complete every daily objective to earn all of the milestones of either event. If you just get the resort pass, and you complete the daily objectives every day, you will have enough points to max out both the Camp and Resort events. You don't need anything more if you play every day.
If you get the seven day booster, you'll get seven more milestone points. This means two things. First, if you miss a day, the seven extra milestone points means you can still max out all the milestones in both events. You could miss up to seven days and still max them out.
If you don't miss seven days, then at some point you will complete all of the milestones in the Camp and Resort events before the end of the event. At that point, you will get a bonus event that just contains shards: 100 6* shards per milestone for Cavalier and above, 100 5* shards for Uncollected, and 50 4* shards for Conqueror and below. In other words, if you continue to complete daily objectives after completing all of the milestones in the Camp and Resort events, these extra objective completions will convert into shards.
So both packages unlock the Resort event. The Plus package also gives you seven milestone points for free. This means you have an easier time fully completing all of the milestones in the Camp and Resort events, and if you end up with extra milestone points you'll get a small amount of champion shards per milestone point above 98.
My guess is that is why the extra booster purchases exist. If during the event you miss a day or two, you'll have an opportunity to buy a pack of points, basically, to make up the difference if you choose to do so.
Not that I'm going to do that, but I'm curious.
If there is an explicit cap in the bonus shards event, I haven't seen it announced anywhere yet.
$70 for a 6* crystal is not high, or low. I don't think I will be doing that, but for whales buying every crystal in sight anyway it is not bad value. I wouldn't recommend it for normal humans playing the game though.

The Resort Pass gives access to the paid milestones only. These milestones reward pretty much the same as the base milestones essentially doubling the totals.
The Resort Pass Plus gives the same, plus advances you one week in the milestones with a booster. So you end the milestones a week early. When you end early, each day you can earn extra shards.
Starting next week you'll be able to buy additional boosters for the cost of a Parkers Wallet to progress another week in advance, thus reaching the final milestone even earlier and earning more shards, again for each day that the even runs while having all milestones completed.
