Hey Kabam is there any specific timeline or agenda in coming few months to buff the champions who are in dire need of some major buffs like Joe Fixit, Rhino, Thor Rag, Karnak, Captain marvel, Groot, Iron Fist, a few spiderman and a bunch of Deadpool to name a few

They probably have buffs for the next 3-6 months atleast planned already but they won't be revealing any info about it untill just before the buffs go live.

it would be much better if they could have a poll or something or atleast announce the upcoming buffs for two months in advance that way from community's feedback they can have an much better idea for next buff

Yes after the Angela buff incident and outrage, they have stopped revealing the buffs a month in advance.

I believe they said they would be announcing buffs one month at a time from now on, so doubtful they will give us a multiple month schedule or even admit they are working on specific champs until the make a monthly announcement.

Transparency does not mean they have to tell you what you want to hear, it means they should tell us everything we need to hear

What are criteria in picking a specific champ and not picking another, why not actually buffing some really terrible champions is a part of transparency only. Sure they can't make everyone happy but the logic/criteria behind for e.g selecting ronin or angela first over say venompool or rhino should be communicated

They have communicated why some champs get buffed over others, based on what type of buff they are doing. Ronin and Angela are "Value only" meaning that things in their kit "shouldn't" (doesn't always seem to be the case) be changed but only tweaked numbers. Overhauls are the type that get assigned to champs who need their whole kit looked at, so your Venompool, Rhino, Ironman types that have very little going on for them. There are also moderate updates which fit somewhere in between both these types of buffs. The plan it seems, is to do one of each of these types per update.

@Kabam Miike i think voting for buffs was a huge win. Is that something we’ll see as a standard practice in the near future? Thanks

That could be more commonplace but different types of buffs have different timetables so I could only see it working if they narrowed the field to all of their Value only section. Those take less time by comparison and gives us an idea of where kabam sees champs in the spectrum.

It's a combination of factors, not least of which is time and classification of Buff. Overhauls take the most time, but even among those, some are more involved than others. Arguably, Diablo is probably the biggest Overhaul since we started our new cadence, and to make that happen, we paired it with a simpler Value only Update.

So, why were Ronin and Angela selected before Venompool or Rhino? Because arguably neither of those two needs a Moderate or Value only Update. We've been pretty open and clear about this. If you only want us to change some numbers on Rhino, he can be out in a couple months, but that's not what people want.

Lastly, it can come down to which ones we have ideas that we like for, and simply... Who we want to update.
Sooo has the game team ever felt like buffing Sentry? :'(
Are we going to need to put you on a 5150 hold?

So would champions having certain difficult challenges (i.e. cyclops, kamala, loki) 'influence' the team's wantingness to buff certain champions?

thanks for the revert but somehow could not agree with the answer completely since yet again the most needed champs are being ignored it feels bit of a let down to hear "who we want to update" and not the community. but we can always agree to disagree. :) cheers

Also it doesn't help when everyone simply says "Make em better!" And doesn't offer anything any suggestions or ideas to help inspire them.

Honestly characters like airwalker, silver surfer, physchoman, mangod, redskull, super skroll, Thanos, Kang, and overseer needs a update. To me why have new characters come out recent that's underpowered but should be at the top based on who they are like overseer, them have high-end characters that are as well should be considered the same like airwalker not so great. They need tweaks mostly just numbers to make them good and to me something that could be fixed fast.
