Was gonna do stryfe but got profx so now I’m undecided

Stryfe benefits from Sig ability more than profx

Not knowing the rest of your roster, or where you're at in the game, it's difficult to say if you should use it on either, or save it for another, so I'll just answer purely based on the two choices.

Stryfe benefits WAY more from his sig. Prof-X signature is beneficial in war defense, bit isn't gonna change your life using him as an attacker.

If you can only rank up one of them prof x is better than stryfe and he benefits enough where I would use an awakening gem.
