Crossbones upgrade

Do you guys think Crossbones worth r4/r5? I'm currently Cavalier. So I wanna know if he will be any use from this point on. I know he is a good counter for spiked armor.

I remember one of my friend using a high sig Xbones for the Mr. Sinister in 6.2.
He's a good champ, and is surely a great option for r4. Rank 5, I'm not sure. For a Cav, it's too much to afford IMO.
