About to fight Grandmaster for the 1st time.

So I have been putting this off for a long time to save up units and as much items as I can but I think Im finally ready to give it a shot.

Units: ~1,500
Items: 2+ Each of the Power, Health, and Champion boosts (1 hour), ~20 Revives
Roster:


So I have a few questions before my attempt.
1) Should I wait and save up more units?
2) Which path should I do?
3) Should I remove Suicides? (I run full Suicides w/Despair, Deep Wounds, and Willpower)
4) Which Champs should I take?
5) I heard Morningstar is really good for the fight, Should I rank 2 her?

    well, I just finally completed GM fight last night ... so here's my take on it ..

    He was annoying, wouldn't throw a sp1 most of the time, so obviously I kept getting killed, since failed challenges trying to bait his sp1 .. *sigh*

    as it turns out, I ended up using about 20 stored revives ..
    and another 600 units.

    I took the Cosmic line .. starting with Phoenix.

    My team was:
    Ghost (maxed 5*) - mostly for lane clearing
    Wasp (r4 5*) - synergy for ghost
    Magneto (maxed 5*) - to handle all those #Metal champs
    Dr. Doom (maxed 5*) - lane clearing
    Stealth Spidey (R2 6*) - for GM.

    Dr. Doom to take out: Vision Aarkus and Cpt. Marvel.
    I used Ghost for: Phoenix, Groot, Hela, Carnage.
    Magneto cleared the #Metal champs.

    Turned out stealthy spidey didn't work well for me .. I used Doom all the way.

    As hard as it was due to GM not throwing specials, the nice benefit is I never had to worry about reverse controls in phase 3 .. since I was always dead before that!!

    In short ... throw units at the problem until it goes away ..

    unless you have the mad skills some do in order to 1 shot him!! :)

    your team suggestion:
    Dr. Doom
    Magneto
    Ghost
    +wasp (any *)
    any other champ you want.

    That mimics what I used, it worked quite well ;)

    You Should Be Fine My Personal Team Was NF OR Colossess profx And Doom Took tenacity path which is overall easy except that annhillus i did manage to beat gm with 400 units and only 2 revs savedup so you are more than enough

    Ok well it was a huge struggle, took almost an hour. And spent all my items and ~700 units. But I finally got him down.

    5 Star Shards

    5 Star Nexus

    Cavalier Crystals (lol)


    Very, very happy with my openings. I really wanted Venom as a 5* forever, and I head BWDO is pretty awesome as well. The Omega Red was a first time dupe and I got him at 5/50 so Im stoked about that.

    As for how the fight went, I kept getting clipped by the SP1, for some reason it kept hitting me but I know I was dexing it, very frustrating but I wanted to get it done.

    Thanks to everyone who gave me advice.

    Unfortunately Im still 5% T5CC away from R3/Thronebreaker
