Aegon's backstory?

Can someone explain the backstory of Aegon?
How did he lost his hand?
How did he get back his hand for a moment in sp3?

The Champion had a race of slaves, who fought in arena, although they were essentially pacifists.

One day, Ægon decided to free his people and fought in The Champion's contest. Eventually, he fought through the arena up till the final boss, The Champion himself. They fought and were pretty equal, yet in the end Ægon emerged victorious, although The Champion ripped his hand off.

The reward for winning was his ISO belt, an item of immense power. However Ægon then lived peacefully and saved up energy inside his belt. At one point, he used the energy he gathered inside the belt for years and years to resurrect Carina, The Collector's daughter, who had been turned to crystal and shattered to pieces in an accident.

Note: I am not sure the tyrant was The Champion, so feel free to correct me. But I am pretty confident about the rest of the story.

Edit: Oh and his hand? He can project it as a phantom limb because of his belt. During his sp3 you can see the power of the belt surge into it
