From the looks of it, it is yet another P2W champion. You need to pay for the 4-star one to get the 5-star via a solo event.

Come on already. Not even the platinumpool event was done right this year, due to all the pieces being released the same way as last time. Then there is the Money Witch available via the sigil. And now this?

If it was available for units it would be fine and all, but I highly doubt that is going to be the case

They're not even selling it though! They're selling an opportunity to compete. Skip that. If they were straight-up selling at a reasonable price, I'd definitely buy, and I think a lot of other people would too. I don't want to mess around with a stupid regular arena unless he's a milestone reward, and I don't think I'm alone in that either. I'd make an exception for a 1 or 2 star arena.
They’re selling access to compete and a 4 star. Literally nothing I said was untrue.
If profit is the deeper motive, they should sell something that people actually want and will likely buy and in the way they want. This is McDonald's selling gallon jugs of hot Diet Coke.
If people didn’t want it then why are they upset about having to pay for it? Makes no sense.

People wanted and still want 5 or 6 star Deadpool. Kabam didn't sell him when he would be 🔥, and they aren't selling him directly. People are annoyed because they waited until Deadpool was well stale to even offer a chance. How many times a year did people ask about it? So they waited until everyone stopped asking and then offer him in a way buyers hate? Real smort. So, to recap, buyers did want him (less now), buyers aren't mad about paying $, they're mad about Kabam waiting years to put him out there and then not even selling him but selling a chance to compete for him, which is a format that buyers don't want. Especially for someone that is a trophy champ at this point.

I’ve been trying to pull dpx for almost 2 years for that Nick fury synergy. If I can get a 5* OG Deadpool for “reasonable” effort/ energy that would be great. But not holding my breath that a Kaban offer will be reasonable. 😅

Someone flashed a kabam notification from somewhere (possibly phony) in our alliance chat that said, "Log in on oct 9 to "GET" a...4* deadpool."
That is very misleading, if it was what kabam said! That is why people get mad! Og Deadpool is a trophy champ! Not a big deal!
If it is a "purchase" it should say "log in for a special offer on deadpool."
I told my alliance member i was sure it was a "special offer" purchase and probably tiered, but he is convinced Kabam is gonna give him a 4* deadpool!

Theres gonna be a deal for him to buy 4 star to then access a solo event for the 5 star but the date hasnt been said so i would say that date is wrong

Oh i have no doubt that is what it will be! That is how i got my 5 star vision (no arena though).
In this case i simply agreed it would be cool but i doubted it and i guess we would see, cause there was no sense arguing with him.

Yeah im hyped since og red dp is my last 4 star mutant i need but i just wish there was a date for it to drop since i do wanna know what solo event rewards look like and if only x amount gets the 5 star since wouldnt mind getting the 5 star at all
