I’m not 100% sure who this is for. I’m at the point where I’ve still got moves I need to make at 4-5* for Corinas challenges, and even still hunting a few at 5* for same. As far as I can tell there’s no single magical six star that is going to change how I can approach content, be that act seven or even just going back to 100% a few variants. Or maybe there is a 6* out there that could do that, and I’m just too dumb to know which one it is, which unfortunately ends up being just about the same thing: it’s not worth 4000 units for me to blindly click on a single crystal. Though I do imagine there are some players who could make better use of it?

Probably just for those whales who cannot for the life of them pull or dupe their most wanted champ. Or for people sitting at a full t5CC of a class that they have 0 viable rankups (or champions) of and that want to become TB. It is also just encouraging because the more that they make offers like this, the higher the likelihood of this dropping in content, or for shards, or for a more reasonable number of units in the future.

At the risk of being pedantic, the offer is for people who want to buy it. Every offer has takers - literally every offer has lots of people buying it. Even offers you think no one buys has *lots* of people who buy it. They wouldn't spend time and resources presenting offers no one buys. They would replace it with an offer people actually buy.
Keep in mind there's no one single kind of Thronebreaker player. There are players who got there slowly and have gigantic rosters by the time they get there. There are speedsters that race to TB and have tiny rosters in comparison. Some players are willing to pay very large premiums to reduce the chance for a bad pull. Some aren't. Some are looking to fill gaps in their roster, some aren't. Some have gigantic pools of unused units and haven't bought any of the previous offers yet, and this is the one they decide to snag. I buy the Cav completion offer basically every month. It is half a 6* and a bunch of boosts for just under 3k units. If I wasn't buying that religiously, I'd be sitting on 30k more units right now, and that 4k offer might look very attractive to me. Instead, I'm saving for BF/CW. But I'm sure there are a lot of people tempted by that offer.
Even if it's a nexus, it's still a large pool with lots of duds. And you still get just 1 champ. A 6* champ it's not worth 4k units in today's game. If this was 2k units i wouldve bought it for a chance to dupe NF.

So this deal is fairly close to last years. But probably worth holding out hope that this year deals are better than last years.
