New forums, new Character Wishlist thread

Just as a reminder, our rules:

Character requests are still a very frequent topic of conversation within our community, and with good reason - there are a ton of amazing Marvel characters in their universe.

The old Character wish list thread was ballooning a bit, and several characters requested in that thread have since been added to The Contest. We're starting up a new thread to house these discussions so that they can continue, but in a more up to date manner.

A few FAQ's:

1) Why haven't you added (X character) yet?!

A: there are so many characters we want to add, but simply haven't gotten to yet. A character's lack of presence in the Contest currently does not necessarily mean that we've overlooked them or that we don't already have them on our radar. Our teams have a finite amount of time in order to produce content, and we'd love to bang characters out quicker - but still need to maintain realistic developer cadences.

2) We need more female characters and more diversity.

A: Our own team is quite diverse itself, and we agree that representation is an important concern!

3) Why do you bother adding (X re-skinned character) when you've not even had a chance to add (x character not in The Contest)?

A: While some people are not a fan of character re-skins, MANY of our players are. The Marvel universe is one with a lengthy lore, and almost every beloved character has gone through some sort of costume change or shift at some point in their super-powered careers. These differences offer a good opportunity to re-introduce players to content they may not have managed to obtain the first time around, and allowing new players to pick up a certain champion while still keeping things a bit fresh. Our goal is to have a healthy balance between release types.

4) Can you confirm if a requested character is going to be released?

A: The short answer is no. We have specific timelines regarding when we can announce content, and that means that we can't pop in to say 'hey, that person is coming!'. For those wanting to keep on top of our latest announcements or teases, following our Twitter and Facebook accounts are your best shot. We also have an Instagram account that you should follow. So go forth, and suggest! We're not going to individually reply to the comments and suggestions that we see, but we are reading everything.

This should go without saying, but please discuss the characters you'd like to see without insulting each other or trying to discredit someone's opinion. Friendly debate is welcome, but the emphasis here is 'friendly' ; )

About Emplate:

Emplate, a vampire-like mutant who can take on the abilities of those he feeds upon as well as control their minds. Emplate was the main villain of Generation X.

Base Stats & Abilities

*Passive: Pocket Dimensions
.Emplate suffers from a permanent (active) Degeneration debuff that drains 0.2% health each second.

*Passive:
.When against mutants, Emplate senses Mutant Aura of target which grants Emplate 1193 attack rating while also reducing the opponent’s Ability Accuracy by 50%. This Ability Accuracy reduction ignores mutants immunities.

*Medium Attack Combo Finisher:
.50% chance to cause your opponent to Rupture for 1450 direct damage over 20 seconds.

*Heavy Attack: Vampiric Infection
.100% chance to inflict Vampiric Infection to opponent, passively Heal Blocking and Slowing them for 7.5 seconds.

✓Developer Note - The Heavy Attack animation has to be of 6 hits for convenience of players during playing.

~Density Control: Another natural power Emplate does have, is ability to control his own density.

*Dash Back -
.Become Indestructible for 2 seconds, this indestructibility also ignores all DOT debuffs and passives.

*While Heavy Attack Charging -
.Become Intangible and opponent has 100% chance to miss, providing the Opponent isn’t able to bypass Miss.

*Special Attacks -
.100% chance to cause your opponent to Rupture for 1450 direct damage over 20 seconds.

#Signature Ability: Energy Siphon
.Being a Energy Vampire Emplate has also the ability to Siphon Energy from his target through their Bone Marrow Sap, and utilising it for his requirements.

*Bone Marrow Sap (Max Stack 42):
.50% chance to gain 1 Bone Marrow Sap per Critical Hit.
.For every 3 hit on Combo Meter gains 1 Bone Marrow Sap.

✓Developer Note - Emplate's normal Combo will be of 6 hits, i.e. he will gain 2 Bone Marrow Sap per 1 Combo Rotation.

*Special Attacks:
.Consumes same number of Bone Marrow Sap as number of Hits on that Special Attack.

✓Developer Note - Special Attacks effect will be depend upon, the type of Stance at which Emplate is during Special Attack activation.

~Emplate can Siphon Life, Power and Buff from his opponents depending upon his current Stance.

*Emplate has 3 Stances -

>Attack Energy

.SP 1 - 100% Chance to Power Lock the target for 7.5 seconds.
.SP 2 - 100% Chance to Steal 50% of the target's current power.
.SP 3 - 100% Chance to Drain 100% of the target's current power.

>Buff Energy

.SP 1 - 100% Chance to Drain (Nullify) all of the target's current buffs.
.SP 2 - 100% Chance to Buff Steal for 15 seconds.
.SP 3 - 100% Chance to Buff Lock (Stagger) for 30 seconds.

>Life Energy

.SP 1 - Inflict Life Steal, Stealing 1000 Health from the opponent.
.SP 2 - Inflict Life Steal, Stealing 2000 Health from the opponent.
.SP 3 - Inflict Life Steal, Stealing 3000 Health from the opponent.

~Emplate will start every fight with Power Siphon stance when he gains enough Bone Marrow Mass.
~To change Stances from one to another dash back and hold block for 1 second.

✓Developer Note - If during activation of a Special Attack a minimum amount of Bone Marrow Sap is not present than the Special Attack will not produce any of the above listed effect.

I hope there will be a Black Panther that is in the movie like this one:

why havent we gotten any other versions of rocket?! hes a loved character and im sure alot of us would love a playable rocket if he isnt getting buffed up then he surely should have a buffed version and may i sugges rocket venom?! hes unique and crazy and would just overall be a catch im sure to any players in game!

Venomized Rocket makes appearance in other Marvel games. Also, some updated versions from infinity Wars show in other marvel games as well. Rocket is my favorite in the game and he is why I started playing MCOC. Updated uniform with improved capabilities would really be a fun addition.

Jessica Jones (Earth-616)

Powers and Abilities

Powers

Jessica gained her superhuman powers after her family's vehicle collided with a truck of unknown chemicals. After being in a coma for quite some time, she awakened with the following abilities:[98]

Superhuman Strength: While her uppermost strength level has never been properly documented, Jessica has shown that she has strength enough to lift a two ton police car with no discernible effort and toss it a short distance at approaching police men while under the control of the Purple Man. She later sent Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) flying across a room, through a table, and into unconsciousness with a single blow. When she first discovered her powers, Jessica was also able to push over a firmly rooted tree with little effort and later punched straight through the metal hood of a taxi. She later lifted Tom Foster off of the ground by the nostrils and tossed him a short distance. While flying at high speed, Jessica was able to smash into Atlas with enough force to give him a bloody nose.[98]

Superhuman Durability: Jessica's body and tissues are far more resistant to certain types of injury when compared to an ordinary human, particularly impact forces. After several men pointed guns at her, Jessica implied that shooting her would only ruin her jacket. Afterwards, however, she stated that she did not know if she was bulletproof. Being slashed in the back by one of Owl's men with a knife did produce a wound, though a superficial one that only required light bandaging. During a battle against the Avengers, Jessica suffered severe injuries when she was punched in the face by the Vision, including damage to her neck and nose. She was later able to withstand being punched by a human on Mutant Growth Hormone, though she suffered a bloody nose as a result. When shocked by one of Spider Woman's "Venom Blasts," Jessica was knocked to the floor and experienced great pain, but was able to recover in moments. She was later caught up in a building explosion, which only damaged her clothing. She was later thrown away from an Ultimo robot and dug a trench with her body as she slid along the street and suffered only minor injuries. While learning to fly, Jessica would often botch her landings, but her durability was enough to protect her when she smashed into the ground or other objects.[98]

Accelerated Healing Factor: Jessica compensates with her vulnerability to penetrating force, but was able to survive with her highly-dense body and ability to heal quicker and more effcient than normal rate.[98] Her ability to heal also enables her to regenerate and recover from sprained neck, retina detachment, broken nose, loose teeth, and spinal damage without any remaining scars, though it took weeks and does require medical assist to fully recover.[15] Also, she recovered within moments after receiving a strong quick-hit from Dragon's tail and then landed from great heights, which was stated by Kate Bishop as sounds like Wolverine.[99]

Superhuman Longevity: Jessica can live longer than regular humans. Possibly, because of the energy sustaining her body after being exposed to energy released by Galactus.[98]

Flight: The first super power that Jessica discovered was the ability to fly. Though her top speed has not been documented, it is likely that it is ultimately subsonic. Jessica states that despite her flying ability, she does get airsick and has a hard time flying in general.[98]

Telepathic Resistance: Due to her experiences with the Purple Man, Jessica had mental blocks placed in her mind by Jean Grey. These mental blocks give her a degree of resistance against mind control, even if that mind control is pheromone based rather than telepathic, though it seemed that she had to "trigger" this resistance on her own.[98]. Jessica's telepathic resistance was shown to be powerful enough to resist against the command of the Living Reality Stone, Star.[100]

Abilities

Private Investigator: Jessica is an experienced investigator, she can follow leads, interrogate suspects and has closed many cases. These skills lead her to her next job as an investigative journalist for the The Pulse.[98]
Trained Combatant: At first Jessica relied on her powers and her own form a street fighting. Later working with the Avengers she was trained in basic hand-to-hand combat.[98]

Physical Strength

Jessica's uppermost strength is unknown, but she was able to lift a 2 ton police car with ease.[98]

Weaknesses

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder: Jessica was traumatized by her time spent with the Purple Man. He affected her mind so much that she did not know what were her own thoughts. It took months of therapy with Jean Grey to help her through it. However she at first became a violent vigilante and later quit the hero life all together.[98]

Alcoholism: Jessica coped with her trauma through alcohol regularly drinking to forget her troubles. She quit after her daughter was born.[98]
