Who should I rank 5?

WW2 cap is still useful but if not cap then go with any of the 5* options as YJ and Cyc can be ok on unblockable sp1 nodes and are used for synergy purposes

For ROL you need a decent damage dealer so Thor or Drax would be your best bet. You still need someone that can deal with wolverine. I have YJ as my only r3 5 star and I don’t regret it. He hits hard and is my best science champ.

I am reading Crossbones can be used to deal with RoL's Wolverine.

It seems Wolverine's regen behaves a bit differently (similar with Juggernaut who does not start with Unstoppable).

Crossbones' fury can block Wolverine's regen (from attacks) but it can't deal with the 8% sig ability regen.

Has to check each RoL's champ ability.

I think Thor's armor break and stun is better than Drax's bleed in RoL.

Cosmics: either Drax, or wait for Hyperion.
Science: Captain America WWII. he survives a lot in quests, even if the enemy has a lot of attack. or take the 5* YJ to r3 if you plan to R4/55 one of your champs in a future. YJ is a good option for LOL.
Mutant: don't bother. Cyclops sucks. for r5 best mutant options are Wolverine, Ice-Man, AA, X-23 or Rogue.
Skill: Crossbones is great, if you don't have GP or Blade go for him.

There is no 5* version Thor, and Thor is a heavy hitter as well.
Cap WW2 is also a good option but I don't use him too often.
