How to obtain 2 stars? Why is it so difficult?

Obtaining 2 stars as been difficult for me as a FTP. Those with Marvel Insider privileges can acquire 2 stars much easier than me. I need to wait for the anniversary event shard celebration arena to acquire 2 to 3 new 2 star champs. I would love for kabam to make it much easier for summoners to acquire 2 stars. Or can someone let me know the way to acquire 2 stars without Marvel Insider Rewards, as they're restricted in many countries.

    In the end, they don’t really give an advantage. I like collecting stuff, so I love getting those collector crystals and opening some exclusive 2*s.

    I opened 200 Premium Disappointment Crystals last week:

    197 duplicate 2, 3 and 4*
    2 new 4*
    1 new 3*

    It's definitely hard to get new two star champions. The crystals from the special arena were more successful.

    Why do you think that is? The 3 and 4* pools update, why not the 2*? Is it something to do with the 1* Colossus thing. (Not wanting to make it too complicated for new players)

    I use Insider and I don't use a VPN. I just signed up and didn't fill in my location details and used a gmail address that doesn't immediately identify my location like my ISP email addy would.

    I think they stopped adding new characters as 2*s around the end of 2016 because they were being obsoleted by 3*s and 4*s as the main go-to for the bulk of the player base and they'd also introduced 5*s by then. They have only been doing 2* specific content since December 2017 when the first anniversary 1m point arena dropped and then sporadically since with similar arenas, Gwenpool Goes to the Movies and other gated content.

    I've never understood the point of the limited 2* pool other than for a way to try to bait collectors into blowing units during those events. I'm missing FAR more champs as 2*s than 6*s

    Don't need a VPN. I live in Australia marvel insider isn't available to me. I set up a Hotmail account and used that now I get marvel insider.

    Marvel insider. I tried to sign up (from canada) fake emails and such, couldn't do it. Not tryna buy a vpn subscritption to say I'm in the us and for collection purposes not worth the effort.

    I did it but not sure why it didn't work for you. Don't need to buy a VPN if it won't though. Hotspot sheild is free not the best VPN but for a one of use for mcoc it will do.

    you can buy the 1-2* crystals for 50 units i believe you gatta work for them if you are one of the accounts who sold them xD if you are new then its just the process of the game, people just dont automatically unlock everything.

    It’s like funko pops. They don’t do anything, but if you create some scarcity, people will collect them like they actually matter. I still get a thrill when I get a new two star.
