How to get more 1* champs?

So I’m lvl 50, and a Cav player. I also have a mini account who I never sold champs (prior to kabam taking that option out.) Both my accounts I have about 8 1 * champs each, which I found odd. Is there a way to get more one star champs? Which content or crystals do I need to focus on. Because this seems like a continuing topic every year we get a really nice 1-2* arena. I have enough 2*s, but my 1*s are lacking in quantity.

    1* champs are only in the collector and champion crystal as seen above. Including Deadpool, there are only about 14 1*s, so don’t hope for anyone special

    Yes, this week's arenas are where you want to spend your time. Collectors crystals are the best source for 1* champs, once they stop being in your daily crystal.

    the champion crystals that you can buy for units in the store are useless for getting 1*s, they're like 80% 2*s and you won't get the rarer ones like Hawkeye, Juggernaut, Iron Man, Spidey, Wolvy and Vision AOU.
