Act 5 Exploration - Pros Only?

Looking for info. There’s plenty of tutorials on YouTube, and I’ve studied most of them, but what I’m doing doesn’t seem to work. Are there any pro players in here that could fully explore act 5 without revives and potions (units)?

I’ve been playing this game for about 1.5 years, and have spent a silly amount of money on my roster. I’ve completed act 5 and 6, and I am currently at 5.4.4 for exploration, but no matter what I do, I’ll have to spend money (units) to explore. Yes, I know I can grind arenas for units; that’s not my question.

If pro players can’t even explore these maps without revives, I may just quit the game. I’ll be winning a match handily, then out of nowhere, the defender jumps up from being knocked down, and flies across the screen and destroys me, all seemingly waaaay faster than standard play. At those moments it feels like the game is stating “nope, you must pay to beat this level.”

So again, can pro players explore act 5 and beyond without using revives? If so, what am I doing wrong? I’m a decent player, but this is getting ridiculous.

    Where are you in act 5 exploration? I remember waiting with the collector exploration until the end. I also remember 5.3 explo taking a while to adjust to because the 50% attack reduction made the fights longer.

    But you shouldn't have a problem exploring act 5 with a few revives here and there if you have completed act 6. Act 6 is actually 99,9% impossible to explore without units.

    I’m on 5.4.4, for exploration and I’ve tried numerous different champs and paths, but I just seem to keep getting wiped out.

    5.4.3 was pretty easy. I don’t think I used any revives, or maybe just a couple. 5.4.4 is seemingly impossible (without revives).

    I think I only spent a handful on collector, and maybe in a situation where the boss had a few percent left but my entire team was dead

    I was talking about act 5.3.1 - 5.3.6. But you almost have all of act 5 explored you should be able to do the rest now. I checked the map and 5
    4.4 isn't anything special. I don't remember struggling with it. Maybe just check some guides on youtube and keep practicing.

    How long have you been trying? It kinda sounds like you're being impatient, thinking you should just be able to run through the game easily. Build up some potions, revives, boosts, and units and take it out. If you're not willing to work for it, maybe you should find another game.

    Pat, are you a pro player? Can you go in today and see if you can do one of the paths without using revives? I’m seriously curious, and that’s my main question; can only a pro player explore these later chapters without revives?

    Maybe it used to be easier?? I don’t know, but it don’t think it’s patience. 5.4.3 was easy. Now all of a sudden, the very next level is impossible??? Doesn’t make sense to me.

    My current attempts have been running with:
    R3 Sunspot
    R3 BWCV
    R3 Ultron
    5/65/200 CGR
    5/65/200 Doom

    You need to use counters for each path, most of them are easy and you need a good masochism and rage counter. I did most of act 5 exploration with domino back in the day, now there are a lot of great champions for exploring this act easily.

    For modok, use mags if you own him, a 4* is enough. The champions you list aren't good for masochism and modok, you need to choose a better team

    I did 5.4 pretty much itemless I think. In fact, I think I only used items on 5.2.4 and the Collector fight.

    If you're having problems with it, you should probably do variants or Act 7.
    I have completed 7.3, all variants and explored 3 yet I haven't bothered with Act 5 exploration. The rewards don't mean much nowadays

    That is nice display mate, being a new player (just got uncollected a month ago) and having small roaster with limited resources, I am also having the same issue, perhaps my skill level is too low, but if you could share a map like this with a list of suitable champs for each node or some useful guide as you have a lot of experience and familiar with all the nodes and counters, that would be a great help for tons of players like myself.

    You say you completed Act 6, and you can't explore 5.4.4....It really doesn't make sense... Are you a whale with 0(zero) experience??

    I fully explored Act 5 without any revives. Definitely not a pro player. What lanes or particular fights are you struggling with in 5.4.4? I did this 2 yrs ago, so the below is just a quick review of the lanes and nodes (can't remember who I used for every path):
    - G2099 is great for rage and who I used. She can do all the fights and only white mags and AV will be a little painful due to magnetism and tenacity respectfully.
    - Biohazard paths can be handled by quite a few champs. G2099, Warlock, OR are some good options here. Think I used G2099 and Warlock.
    - Masochism paths I used Warlock and Ghost. MS works well as does CAIW and AA. You can also just out damage the regen with champs like Ageon and CGR. Magik is tricky, but Void or GHulk can do it.
    - I do not think there's much too difficult in the recovery and breakthrough paths.
    - Red Mags should easily do the boss. NF also does well against MODOK.

    You might need to change up your team based on the nodes. Just not sure where you're getting stuck at. Once you get the right counters, 5/65 and 2/35 ranked champs can get through this content with good play.
