To those who have Kitty Pryde !!

Have you mastered her ? Or maybe learnt her to a satisfactory level ?

I r5ed her today and still learning . I took her up over my 6* unduped Bishop and i am not sure where she can serve me the best . I took her up for fun tho .

One thing that buggles me is how she consumes most of her prowess while she phases special attacks and then you rebuild . What are your thoughts on her till now ??

Amazing champ, even unawakened. Works best with Tigra synergy.

For long term fights, you should use the SP3 first as them fires make her specials even harder. And add Tigra to your team and Kitty will become unblockable. I like Kitty because of that unblockable, and also how easy she is to use. Just dash back, charge in for two hits, and repeat. Then again, I currently am running the self inflicting wound masteries, and she negates recoil damage.

I hate to say it, but not every champion is for everybody. She is a great champion, but if she doesn't fit your play style or have no fun using her, then maybe she isn't for you. Just like Quake isn't for me.

I use my kitty pride anytime I don’t want to read the nodes or deal with any annoying defender. She is seriously a cheat code to the game and doesn’t need any mastery of any sort. If you want to play safe and take down any champ in the game, you’ll need patience but not as much as quake. You can pretty much close your eyes and win any fight. Gain 3 prowess from parry or crits and then you just dash forward, 3 hit combo, dash back, and repeat the process till the fight is over. I always pair with tigra for the unblockable but even without you can repeat this process till the fight is over.
Edit: no where need the skills or mastery as ghost, quake, or tigra. And obviously after playing kitty enough and seeing you can solo any fight you can start you use her more effectively and use specials for extra damage. (A lot of times I don’t even use specials. I used her to 100% act 6.1.5 crossbones this way)

This happens because you consume 6 prowess for every miss that happens whilst your phased. Specials that I can dex i still dex

There are lots of ways to play her as others have mentioned, Tigra synergy is great as she goes unblockable once 10 prowess is achieved and great for those pesky defensive AI.
I personally like to bring dragonman with me for longer incinerates to maintain my prowess potency
She doesnt need synergy partners at all ofc but just a nice benefit.

Long fights: build to sp3, phase fire sp3.
Build to sp2 in the meantime, your prowess potency should build to 400 and then phase fire sp2 and watch those numbers go.
I tend to wait just before the incinerate finish when i fire my sp2 where i have between 15 - 20 prowess (more with apoc)

I like to throw a sp1 after the sp3 to keep the temperature up

I love having the ghost synergy, it’s one I don’t see talked about.

It generates an additonal 2 prowess per missed hit, so it means 2 things.

1. When phasing specials, you overall only lose 1 prowess per miss rather than 3

2. You can miss 1-3 attacks before launching a special to generate way more prowess. Usually I get 30 prowess before throwing my sp2 which is a significant different over just 20.

(Bonus) Ghost is amazing too!

Tigra synergy and ghost synergy are the most commonly used ones. However since I only have a 4* tigra (sad) that synergy doesn’t get too much use.

The dragon man synergy is decent if she’s unduped (or if she’s duped) as her incinerates last longer. More prowess buildup.

Those are the main 3. I rarely use other synergies unless I’m going full kitty. But often if I’m doing a path of something, I don’t even put ghost on for the synergy, ghost is just there bc she’s amazing lol, and it just so happens that the synergy she has with kitty is really nice.

She’s the best mutant in my opinion, and my second favourite mutant in the game!

Also - white mags is super nice. Pre fight gives passive stun so your first parry gives u 3 prowess. Parry, dash back and phase, super easy. Plus horseman gives u an extra prowess.
