Is this a legit thing from Kabam, or an attempted scammer?

Not sure what to think of this. It’s in game, so I would assume it’s legit. But the fact that it’s Kabam GIVING money instead of taking it, it’s just a little bit suspicious 🤔

I also got one... no one in my ally did, so it seems a little bizarre.

I got it as well, seems legit so I filled it out. I’ve been part of a focus group before (Act 6 nerfs) so they’ve definitely done it before. I got one a few months ago as well, figure that just have been for solo competitive testing

They've done things like this in the past, and they generally go out to a random sampling of players so not everyone will see it. As far as I can tell this one is legit; it looks like a couple I have gotten in the past.

As a general rule, neither Kabam nor any other reputable company will ask for sensitive or security related information in a situation like this, so as long as they are just asking for your time, it is probably okay. If they start prompting you for password information or financial information, that's when I would become cautious. If I ever got a notification from Kabam in in-game email asking for my feedback and the link took me to a portal that asked me to log in with my game credentials, I'd stop and report that to Kabam because that's either a phishing attack or a mistake on the part of the company.

I’ve received this kind of thing before, but just surveys, nothing that’s offered anything in return or asked for my name/email etc. I just wanted to make sure before filling it out 👍

It is because unlike with the surveys that just take a couple minutes of time and you don't have to think about much, they are asking for an hour of your time to participate in a dialog of your opinions, which people are less likely to volunteer for and companies will sometimes try to encourage with nominal stipends to compensate for your time.

As an extra reminder, since others have mentioned it already, legit messages from us won't ever ask for info, like password, private info, or anything like that.
