Kabam’s Response to Hela

MahonriiMahonrii Member Posts: 31
Two things Miike wrote on another thread about Hela that irk me.

FIRST
“Additionally, do not base your decisions to make purchases off of anything but your own opinions.”

And yet you give you tubers early access to champs so they can review them and share their thoughts. One of those you tubers posted two videos talking about how good Hela was, and showed footage of her damage (even he didn't know it was bugged).

SECOND
“Just because somebody else says something is good, or you see a video of an obviously bugged character (and then everybody on reddit rushes to tell them to take it down before Kabam notices it), doesn't mean that you should purchase it.”

So you had early access to footage and screenshots being put on reddit all day Thursday but didn't do anything about it until Friday around noon.

Why did you not consider that the information you found on reddit would cause people to use resources to get her? Why did you not think a quick action on this case would benefit players?

You really let us down on this one Miike and whoever else on kabam that knew about it but did nothing for an entire day.

Totally agree and that’s what I stated before in another thread, the way Kabam treats players and test there heros before release has taken a drastic decline

I do agree on the second part, they should act(at least make an official announcement that there will be changes) immediately not after 12 hours, one day or more.About the first one,yes its true we will be influenced by youtubers and its enough of an excuse for Kabam to claim we should only choose by our own opinions, especially since you tubers most often have footage to prove their claims/thoughs,BUT i find it a very good idea to give youtubers an early access to new champs,so they can test them as well and give some insight on them form the player base and necessary changes(like Loki's and Hela's) cn be done before its too late!

P.S Please don't try to keep secret how good a champ is...Kabam will inevitably find out and if this champ needs to get balanced they will do it and it will be worse if we have already invest on them!

Jaded! So true! But these new champs are rediculous. I knew the minute we got her she was gonna end up being nerf'd. Character developement needs to slow down with over buffing and over promising. Fix the old broke stuff hide hela way like you did spidey, hulk, and vision cause they didn't work! And fix something else instead!

Hela wasn't balanced or changed in any way, that's just a flat out lie

Hela is now working as she was presented

Still love how quick they can “fix” a champ that benefits the player base but when it hurts the players it takes forever to get it fixed. And that’s after months of pulling teeth for them to actually believe us there is something wrong because they can’t reproduce the bug themselves.

Didn't it take them months to fix UC in labyrinth?

That’s 1. Which can be outweighed by all the bugs that hurt the player base more by regular play in all content not situated by 1 aspect.

Isn't synergies increasing base attack in labyrinth technically a bug also?

They said they have beta testers.. I think they should fire all those beta testers and get all new ones. If it "obviously bugged" You'd think Kabam wouldn't have released it.

    Another fail by Kabam.

Guy you’re focused on 1 aspect of the game. Not everyone does LoL. Where as 99% does aw, aq and questing (not LoL). It took them a month to fix double dash bug. Over a month to fix power drain champs draining power but causing no damage. Then the lags, dropping specials etc.... you can continue to say we get a benefit from something in LoL but the rest of the game takes them forever to fix bugs that hurt the majority of players.

Sorry mate never meant to lie!If you mean it was a bug fix and not a change then yes thats true!If you mean she wasn't changed at all...that might be true but she will for sure.i haven't searched to see exactly whats going on with her,but i do understand she was doing insane damage(multiple furies not expiring because of synergy..if i am right) and that will change!
My point was thats you tubers testing champs earlier than released is very good and fixing/balancing/changing a champion if he is too OP is also goo in my opinion!

Yes, she was not changed at all in any way, and i would be shocked if she does get changed.

The double dash bug is their biggest failure, that was a massive bug that affected everyone and took forever to fix. The other big bug since i've really taken the game seriously was when you would get smacked after specials but they fixed that one quickly.

Very well put. Numerous checks are supposed to be in place, including this help from outside sources... Yet the ball is continually dropped.

@danielmath I know there are ups and downs to these bugs for both sides. Actually don’t disagree. I’m speaking in terms of time. Say for example vision’s sp1 was bugged and instantly killed anything including collector or LoL champs. Rightfully so they would fix it ASAP. But we get a double dash back bug that they don’t even believe us for the first couple weeks takes them almost 2 updates to fix.

I’m not arguing what if Hela should be fixed or not. Most definitely she should be. But how quickly they can adjust her to work as intended is astonishing to how slowly they can’t fix nebula’s issues current in the game now.

For me, i think it's more important to fix something like the Hela bug or your vision SP1 example then even the double dash bug (which was the worst one). I'm very big on everyone having a level playing field, and me having to beat collector legit vs someone who doesn't is a bigger negative to me then everyone's vision not being able to power drain.
