Daily Objective not working

Incinerate finisher. it shows I have 2 out of 3. I've probably practiced on 20 of my own characters and story mode, the third objective is not showing up. Anyone else?

Using Mephisto against a low level opponent (say “Normal” difficulty EQ as you do them to claim their Units), and don’t actually attack. Just let his Aura and incinerate kill opponents.

Does that work ? Sometimes various events/objectives may not count when “dueling” your own champs.
