  I'd rank up a few more champs first before proceed to play variant. But if you really want to play it maybe Variant 5. Take that VTD to rank 4 and then you can attempt V5.
  
  Doom, Venom, Mordo, Longshot and VTD would be the squad or if you don't like Mordo, you can rank up that Sorc Supreme or Hood and replace him.
