Cav EQ, 2.1 - Phoenix boss

who have people used for this boss ??

I always "test run" in Uncollected, prior to Cav .. and got absolutely smashed by her in uncollected.

I understand the basics . but damn, that combination is tricky:

Phoenix - so you have to fight her twice ..
- Can't hurt her, unless she has 3+ BUFFS on her.
- she converts debuffs into furies when she dashes back.
- you gain falter when she dashes back.
- any damage dealt to her while you're faltered, is redirected back on you.


soo . .
most mystics are out . as they'll likely remove the furies, which you need her to have, in order to hurt her.
need somebody that can consistently apply debuffs ..
don't really want a miss counter, as you'll just eat the dmg.

I tried AA .. but the uncollected version of her destroyed my 6* AA with ease. O.o
I had better luck with Venom .. but still .. almost died.

Not looking forward to the Cavalier version ..

    I did cav with magneto 🤷‍♂️... Don't know how but it was a one shot

    Awakened DV works well. He puts "buffs" on her that do not convert. Build up to sp2, throw on even. He will only convert his own buffs. If she had 6 or more, you can keep damaging her. Then keep her in the corner power controlled so she can't start falter.
    You can also use MS sp2 to punish those furies, she won't convert them.

    Nick does it well; also used Nebula to one shot once; other runs have used Hyperion and Bishop who did decently to take down chunks of her health. Quake and Scarlet Witch were useless, lol. Last run I used Doom to one shot, figured out the trick is to more or less wait (playing less aggressive) until she has 3 Furies, then regular attacks did the normal damage.

    I used Ronan. Push her to SP2 and corner her. She will start generating fury buffs and you can go to town with her.

    That was Uncollected, I should add, but I expect this to work in Cavalier too.

    I used Prof X for Cavs. You need to use someone who can’t miss.

    She actually PUNISHES you for bypassing Miss. ANY damage that you do to her, while you are under Falter, will be REFLECTED back to you!

    So no DoT effects and no champions that bypass Miss. Unless you are ok with taking back the damage....

    I used Diablo with no buffs and banked on the debuff conversion. There’s a powerful heal in case I need it in SP1, and the more poisons I place in the fight, the stronger SP2 becomes.

    I did this in Cav and can confirm it works. I didn’t read the node and went in with Longshot and Claire expecting an easy fight. Didn’t turn out so well.
