List of champs I would rank 4. Feel free to judge.

    Champs I'd love to rank 3
    Science- human torch, mr fantastic, mr negitive
    Skill- falcon, nick fury, moleman
    Mutant- red magneto, kity pride, professor x
    Tech- hulkbuster, Nimrod, Ultron
    Cosmic- hercules, king groot, knull
    Mystic- Dr doom, clair voyant, diablo

    I'll talk about rank 4 once get enough resources to r4 lol

    Personally preference

    We will see when that RNG hits how sure you are about your rank up choices. If this is your first R4 your list is probably too big.

    If this is your 2nd R4 your list still too big.

    I don't see anyone not choosing Apoc or kitty or Stryfe

    Skill probably only class that has flexibility.

    Edit: I am a fan of non traditional and think that R4s are still too important, even for me.

    There's an r4 Doctor Strange over Doom or Diablo. An r4 Sabretooth over Apoc or Kitty. I don't see why anyone wouldn't rank up Psylocke over Apoc. You don't realise that not everyone is a meta slave

    I have a R4 Karnak. I don't think meta is important for me , but I am basically retired. I'm just saying it doesn't make sense to R4 bishop over Apoc. I guess at the end of the day it really doesn't even matter because R4 are pointless at this point in the game.

    Sorry, I think that " don't worry about me " seemed not very polite when you said to judge.

    For combat power rate, she’s the best in the game. No RNG, no debuffs needed, just one sp1 and the fight is locked down. Magik needs debuffs and although it’s a 97.75% chance to get at least 1 power lock, that is still less than the 100% chance that Psylocke gets.

    If however, there is an external source of power, like mystic dispersion, spite etc then Magik is better. (Although for passive power gain like that, I’d be strongly tempted to say a Spidey 2099 is better than Magik for that).

    If you need a combination, or an overall power controller then Magik handles them both really well, which is where her strength is. I just don’t think she handles one specifically better than Spidey 2099 or Psylocke.

    If we’re talking strictly combat power rate, then I don’t even think it’s up for debate. Only champion in the game with a permanent power lock, and it bypasses so many mechanics. I love taking her into fight Terrax because you don’t even need to power drain him to lock him, he does it himself. I also used her against the Phoenix EQ boss this month, she absolutely cheeses that fight. It’s wonderful.

    I’m probably going to do a Psylocke appreciation post soon. Mine’s r3 right now, but unawakened. Really want the dupe for that extra crit damage. If I get a mutant AG from completion of 7.4, I honestly might give it to her.

    It’s worth noting that with the Mojo synergy, Psylocke has an identical power lock on her sp2 and gains a full bar of power, just like Magik. Magik also runs the risk of not getting the full bar of power, depending on what state the opponent was in when she popped her sp2.

    However, Magik has a higher combat power rate and can be fueled by Mystic Dispersion. Additionally, if Magik throws her sp2 when the opponent is already at sp3, it solves the problem. Psylocke does not, since her power steal and her power lock are not on the same specials.

    So yeah, definitely still pros and cons to that comparison. But Psylocke’s decreased power rate is an added incentive to the rank up. She needs all the help she can get in that regard.

    EDIT: if they ever chose to buff Psylocke, all I’d want is a normal power rate. She gets that, and she’s immediately a top tier option.
