We've disabled the offer for anybody that hadn't triggered it for now while we explore options. We will have a course of action soon that we can share, but don't have anything right now. Everything is still on the table right now.
I'd like a redo on my 3rd R4... I want to change to Jabari.

I see a couple of responses to this kind of question but the way it’s posted I just want some clarification. I have not yet completed 7.4. If I buy the offer today will I still see the offer when I complete 7.4?

That's your solution? It's only fair to let everyone have the chance to get it twice. Can your systems not see who have purchased this offer twice already? They can see when someone buys cavs with money with the wrong drop rates and send those players more cavs with the right drop rates. I believe this was done deliberately to suck units out of players.

Everyone got the chance to buy this twice. If you completed act 7 you had the opportunity to buy it, today you got the chance to buy it again. You can’t say it’s not fair that you didn’t get the chance to buy it twice when what you really mean is you want three chances to buy it twice. Everyone has had the same two chances to buy this weather they did or not is on them.

This just makes re-enabling the offer completely pointless in the first place. It was for those who passed on it initially, but that group got hurt the most by what happened today.

- Those who purchased it the first time before knowing about paragon got to purchase it again today. So the gap that was meant to be addressed went unaffected. Enough catalysts for 1 R4 through the offers alone.
- Those who haven't completed act 7 yet but are TB got to purchase it today. Then they'll have the option to purchase it again after going through act 7. Again, enough catalysts for 1 R4 through the offers alone.
- Those who completed act 7 and passed on it the first time got to purchase it today, which was the whole point. However, contrary to the other groups mentioned above, they can only buy enough catalysts for half an R4.

So in the end, the target group for this offer got screwed over the most lmao.

What does the gap have to do with anything? If you were worried about keeping up then you would have bought it the first time. The offer was resent out so that you could get it if you needed it for paragon, nothing to do with the gap between you and the top. Everyone is getting two chances to buy this, once when completing act 7 and once today. If you passed on it the first time then you weren’t trying to compete with progression because that is there regardless of a new title.

Okay, so let's recap.
They decided to extend a courtesy to people who passed on the Offer because Paragon was announced.
Some people inadvertently had access to it again, and they decided to allow them to keep what they got. Another courtesy. Obviously the error was on their side, fair enough. Still, that was the onus.
Now people are upset that some got to benefit and others didn't, so they expect another redo.
I understand the competitive nature of the game, but there comes a point where we need to leave well-enough alone. The last thing you want to do with a complex situation is make it more complex.

In all honesty you knew this was a bugged offer. I agree they probably wont ban but this is definitely an exploit for someone who is regularly on the forum to knowingly buy this a second time.

I just assumed they decided to offer it for everyone. I don't really see a problem. Everyone who completed act 7 has now had the opportunity to get it twice. The fact that some chose not to the first time doesn't make this unfair.

This is a bit of a mess. Fortunately or not, it doesn't even matter for me.

However, as a person who hasn't spent on the game in 4+ years, who has also fully explored Act 7 and been TB since like January 2021, I don't just have units laying about. I've had a maximum of maybe 2k units at any given time in the game, and a 10k or 12k unit offer is just ridiculous. Sure, if you grind arena 24/7 then it is totally fine. But what about rewards that are purchasable or obtainable without spending or constant grinding in the most tedious and generally most boring part of the game?

Maybe if I had several months notice I could grind for one of these offers, but most definitely not two within a single month. Especially when one has a 24 hour window of purchase. The people who can take most advantage of these offers in the first place were hardcore grinders, or whales. Now, the slightly more casual grinders (or just anyone who didn't think the deal was necessary the first time around, because it wasn't) can get the first deal, but really the vast majority of players that benefit from this are those that can obtain the required units within about 10 minutes by going to the unit store and paying cash.

This exacerbates the pay to get ahead arguments that have been surrounding Paragon and the endgame recently. Not only have unit deals (or buying lots of offers) been necessary to get Paragon, but now more paying players that were still behind in the race to Paragon have a chance to get ahead. Just a bit ridiculous how it has all been handled.

No it is not. It's not an opportunity/chance when you are presented with a deal you can't get. You can't grind 10k units in one day, not even let's say 3k if you already had 7k available, and you can't also spend 300 buck out of nowhere. Well, most of us can't, we have bills to pay and other already SCHEDULED stuff.

As admirable as it is to be a F2P player the cold hard truth is that F2P don’t put food on the developers tables.

While we were led to believe that this offer would only go out to those who didn’t buy it first time around. It appears Kabam have “accidentally” enabled it for everyone. This unfortunate error is likely to make them double the amount of revenue they anticipated and also gives them a reason to offer it yet again to players who could only get it once today down the line. It’s win win for Kabam. Meanwhile the vast majority of players who can’t afford to drop $300 on the game today will be expected to grind out the woeful side event for a minuscule amount of rank 4 resources. How fun.

Do you think it was "fair" of them to release the requirements for Paragon after 7.4 had already been out? Do you think it's fair they took an extra day to make sure something like this didn't happen and then it did? Do you think it's fair it screwed players in higher alliances with prestige when people were able to get the offer twice? Do you even care?

Do I think it fair they released the requirements after the original offer? No, I passed on the original offer because I did not think I would need 3 rank 4’s. I picked it up today and am now paragon. They extra day and the mistake made is pretty typical for kabam really. And I don’t see how this affects the prestige race at the top because of you cared about prestige then you certainly should have bought it the first time and now you can buy it again. If you say you care about prestige and passed on the offer the first time then that is on you, you obviously weren’t doing everything you could to keep up. And if that’s because you didn’t have the cash or units then that really does suck but it will be the same thing on the 4th of July, if you don’t spend then you will get a little further behind. The game has been that way for quite some time now.

Let’s be honest here, this entire mess stemmed from the fact Kabam didn’t communicate with their player base appropriately.

They haven’t provided us courtesies, they’re addressing the clear issues with fairness and balance for their player base, which they’ve now made worse with their inability to execute the appropriate fix.

People are completely entitled to voice their criticism here. ‘Leaving it we’ll enough alone’ doesn’t really achieve much.
