I've just read in Wikipedia about Secret wars and...

Saw that after the climax of the event, the very place Doom ruled became The contest of champions by The maestro.... so Secret wars and Mcoc are bounded? Secret wars is like the origins of Mcoc? And-do Mcoc acts like a continuation of the Comic Secret wars? So it's like cannon to the comic? Everything in Act 4 and up?

No, these are completely different. Original story with that as a basis.

So secret wars really is the basis for mcoc?

This isn’t a continuation of the comic, no.

The second secret wars was also awesome. Doom ripping out Thanos’s spine and his skull was so unbelievably cool.

    The inspiration, perhaps.

MCOC (2014) predates the 2015 Secret Wars.

I seem to recall some story-related references to the Secret Wars comic series in early Act 4 (or thereabouts) with the Maestro going missing then returning; but it's been seven years... Anyone that have clearer recollections than me?

I’ve got all the books in storage. I’m old. Going by memory I thought that was pretty decent.

Depending on your library some have an app you can get with your library card called Hoopla. Has tons of comics that you can read on your phone or pad.
Not a 100% on this but was told creators see some cash from it too. If anyone knows different feel free to correct me.

Well that could be because it came out after the game. But the games idea itself draws from the comics.

MCOC is a marvel IP. Just like MCOC is allowed to add champions, marvel can draw from the game to add to it's comics. The 4 part Spider Man animated series is very much like the game. The characters are even encased in a crystal.
