People aren't keeping the perspective. They're looking at where they are at in the game as useful, when it was just pointed out that useful in higher-end content isn't the expressed goal.

Firstly, after Act6 massive nerf, there isn’t currently high end content in the game, apart maybe from Carina challenges.
And secondly, those buffs aren’t going to help new players either.
On the other side they will just make their life more difficult with their added abilities and animations complexity.
There isn't high-end content? That's a matter of opinion. There's certainly higher-end content for people starting out.

    Straw man argument… Of course:)
That's not a straw man. That's an effort to point out that people are looking through the eyes of where they're at and not where people starting out are at.

For some reason, people like to generalize their own point of progress in the game as being the same for everyone else. Not everyone is at the same place.

He is technically worse than his pre-buff state. And that is saying a lot

    How so?

You can't always make them viable for both, and that's never been the intention of these changes. There's always going to be a range of Champs that are more useful at different areas than others.

You can at least try. Their goal should always be to make a great in their own way champ, not a middling one that's still solidly too underpowered to see much usage beyond, "If I'm bringing him anyway, I guess I'll try to get some damage on the boss".
Serious people don't think that Kabam is lacking when they don't make every champ great for all content across all account maturities. That's an obviously unrealistic expectation.
I'd like to hear Kabam's answer on where they actually slot this champ pre and post buff. What were they going for? Not some vagaries about nothing, but actual data and analysis.

I didn't argue against the feelings on it. In fact, I said people have the right to their own opinions. What I said was, the perspective is not in tune with what was said.

How does a 2022 champ have such little in there kit?

These are Champs that new Players are more likely to obtain
You know Deadpool x force is actually rare don't you?

He hasn't been in 5* crystals till 2 months ago. So no. He is not more likely to be obtained. He's in 6* but that's not something newer players are going to get.
Why are new players getting 5-Stars? We're talking about 2 and 3 Stars, Champs from PHCs and Daily Crystals.
Well, they can get them from the gifting event easy peasy ;)

Kinda like DPX’s buff tbh. IMO he’s more useful than he was before and for me that’s the whole point of buffing them; getting some of the meme tier into at least the useful bracket.

I mean he might be useful for act 1 and 2 but he didn't need a buff for that
That's a bit of an exaggeration.

I think it's a bit telling that the OP's question was originally asking what everyone thought of the changes to Yondu and DPX, but there isn't a lot of conversation about Yondu...

Feels to me his damage was balanced around max deep wounds. With it he's alright without it he's terrible. Imo he should be alright without max deep wounds and with deep wounds he should be amazing.

This is a really fair point. I run max deep wounds and like I said before he’s definitely more useful. Pre buff I’m not using him for diss track, all or nothing and I doubt he takes down 6.3.1 Medusa. All niches this character serves for developing rosters.

But ideally you shouldn’t have to max DW to make him useable. Not sure what I’m missing here but anybody saying that he’s better prebuff doesn’t seem to be objectively judging this

Not when the lower Crystals have a limited pool of Champs.
