What bums me out about the comp package is that I think a lot was lost in “high value items.” 30% of the r4 catalysts and a 2-3 gem. I expected 3 nexuses and no r4 mats. I know what they sent is more valuable but it also doesn’t make me happier, because I get no return on that gift until late 2022.
Not that I ever get 6-stars I want to rank, but I’m in a position now where I have multiple 2-3 gems and 5 t5cc on hand. That goes to 7 with EOP rewards. If that nexus is a dud, I’m left praying for July 4 luck or feeling very stuck with my crew.
Let’s be honest with our selves and the game team for a second and admit that after a year of issues, many of which still occur, this was subpar. Major issues are still going on and kabam seems out of touch with its player base and oblivious to the issues still occurring and what we received do nothing to make up for the amount of health potions and revives that we’ve burned trying to counter this rough patch of the game. I hope the game lasts I really do but it’s hard to imagine how that will be the case. I and the many other players that are disenchanted with the game currently aren’t asking for everything to be given to us of for kabam to go broke giving the game away. What we are saying is that after everything we’ve been through with the game issues would it have been too much for a pick ten nexus or even better a nexus that allowed you to pick 1 champ from the entire basic pool. Hell after sticking it out through their issues it’s really close to the least they should have done but instead we got the least they could have done.
It’s just shows the true reflection of how they “appreciate “ their customers/players. But hey there’s new deals in the store today. Make sure you go buy them up.
The r4 mats are nice. The 2-3 rank up gem is nice. The gold? Lol. The loyalty is nice. Glory... who cares. Super easy to get.
Nexus...meh. I have a robust roster. Think something like just under 20 champs available in the basic that I don't have. It was always gonna be a dupe. So nothing to be excited about with a nexus.
High end consumables are what I was looking for. Actual compensation for the year of dealing with the input issues that I've faced. I don't even care about revs personally, but since it takes a billion pots to heal a champ ( yes I'm exaggerating a bit) some quality number of pots is essential to back fill for all punches to the face over a year I took.
To be clear, I never expected to garner back every pot ever used. That's a silly expectation. But none? C'mon man.
Rank up material, glory, loyalty are all pretty good. But this package completely skimped on the champ acquisition part. It would have been nice if they just gave a crystal/token to select a single champ from basic pool. This would have earned them a lot of goodwill with their customers and brought some excitement in the game for everyone.
Since the control issues persist to this day and haven’t improved much, I’m assuming we will be getting another one of these compensation packages in the far future. Please take the community response into account when creating that package.
Overall, I’m ok with it. I would have liked some revives \ refills, but it wasn’t terrible. Also didn’t hurt that I got a 6* AA from my nexus. I prolly would not be so cool with the overall package if I pulled a junky 6* tho. My guess is a lot of people who have bad pulls will be less than impressed. A lot of people with really good pulls will be very impressed. RNG, baby. RNG.
If I claim the compensation I have to select the t5cc as soon as I open it right? Like it won't go into my inventory? I don't have anyone I'd really care to take to r3 right now, so kind of hoping for a banger from the 6* crystal. But I can guarantee I will chose the wrong cat and pull a good 6*

Yes. You can save it in your inventory and just watch out for the expiry.

Yes, as soon as you claim it a menu will come up prompting you to choose your class catalyst, you cannot save it. So make sure you know what class you want before claiming the items.
From all the comments, it seems like most people will be happy if Kabam delivers some potions and revives (just like they used to do on 1st of every month till the input issues were said to be solved) on the first of July 😊
I think we all had an idea in our head of what the bare minimum compensation would be, to what would likely be the compensation up to what we hoped for. I think some aspects (crystals) were at the lowest acceptable end, the rank up materials were middle to slightly above (mainly for TB r4 materials), and the revives and other consumables were non existent. Personally myself I was happy to trade consumables for rank up materials.
Did they end up making a way for overflow glory to go to… overflow? Just had AQ week end and then the comp gives most of us way too much glory for the slotted stash
mixed feelings. is the compensation great? absolutely. but did it really compensate all the bugs that we have almost a year and still didn't really fixed? absolutely not.

But it’s not like it’s gonna make me quit over it either. By this point I’ve accepted that Kabam is what it is, do just above the bare minimum when it comes to player satisfaction. So I don’t think this will compensation will cause a mass exodus, but it will make them care less about the game.
That sounds like it's really significant - I think I recall you saying you were going to be slightly short before July 4th, or next bit of EoP, or something?

So after thinking about it a little, I think I would have seen it as “good” if:

2 6* Nexus (up from 1) 45k 5* Shards (up from 1 5* nexus) 1-2 6* Generic rank up (additional since there is no T5B or T2A to help use the 2-3 rank up we got) 2-3 6* Generic (same as what we got) Keep the same T3A T6B (I don’t think an increase is needed it’s actually very fair for that) 10 Energy Refills (Up from 5. Yes we are just got 10 but since they didn’t give us any revives or potions at least with 20 Refills total there’s little reason to not then farm pots and revives myself) No change to Glory (Only because of the Glory Cap, ideally a little more would be nice but I’m fine with 6k) 1.5m Loyalty (up from 1m, I know some are drowning in Loyalty but at the same time 500k more would have been nice and probably helped alleviate some of the potion complaints in AW) 5m Gold (up from 1m. 1m really is a pitiful amount for Gold I don’t think 5m is too much for TB or Paragon and would still be used fairly quickly)
And for extra 1 6* AG Crystal. That should be a bonus thank you for sticking with us. Not a generic though.
I would put these amounts into a “Good” category. The current comp is “Fine” but definitely not “Good”.

You’re welcome to your opinion, and while I agree there’s an extreme and people saying it’s a slap in the face or an insult etc are overreacting a little, people are just giving their feedback. It’s fine to question the feedback, ask questions etc but telling people to stop? That’s really not the point of the forum.
