I didnt expect anything more, I got 6* Ronin, that was just sad.

On the other hand, no compensation could make the state of the game bearable. Lagging is worse than ever.

This compensation would have been amazing a year ago. 12 months later with all the changes and new champs, it's kinda pathetic

The problem with this compensation is they continue to push difficult content. EOP, carinas challenges, stupid/ specific eq nodes and introduced a new title that unless you're a big spender or have the initials MSD, you likely needed to spend revive, potions and units to complete all of this. I personally spent a couple thousand units and depleted all of my stash on carinas challenges. Now, not all of that was due to the terrible (and still current) state of the game but a significant amount of it was. To ignore that fact for many players is a slap in the face. I think if they do a similar summoner appreciation calendar when they gave units and revives and potions and more. That would be appropriate compensation.

The compensation package was just ok. Yeah the 6 star nexus is great but I already have 1.5 million loyalty and an excessive amount of glory. I can't even collect with just getting aq rewards. I understand they have put a few revives and health for other issues but they should've been also added to compensation. Glory and loyalty can only be used for aq and aw not normal story and quests. A couple team revives and health wouldn't have broken the bank.

They could of doubled everything and I’d be happy as a Cav player but honestly what they gave us was awful I could of achieved all that myself within a month! We’ve had 8 months of issues

I'm a semi new tb player and completely agree. The big problem is that eop is still on and giving out extra may change everything. Plus spending money on July 4th is the biggest priority.

It is a big compensation package. But what I asked was, who hyped it. If all you have is "he called it big, you all saw it, he's just oozing hype all over" then I'm sorry, the hype problem is on the other side of the screen.

It is the big compensation package we've been discussing for a while now, and to call it that is just using English in its intended manner.

And if you're going to refer to the "numerous posts about expectations" then you should acknowledge that most of the veteran sane people around here have been cautioning people to have reasonable expectations. Not what they define to be reasonable either, but what the rest of the world defines to be reasonable.

I don't know why people persist in thinking this was or is an option. Compensation was clearly broken down into two categories: consumables and non-consumables. They decided how much consumables to give out, and they separately and independently decided how much non-consumable rewards to give out. They aren't interchangeable.

I think the 5* nexus for TBs shoulda been 6star shards. 5*s are pretty much useless at that level so it’s not really a relevant inclusion. Also think that some mix of pots, and units is missing cased on how the inputs impacted tackling content for it to be “compensation”. Still this was a nice thanks for playing package. Free stuff is always appreciated

It was ok - as I said in a compensation thread earlier this week I didn't expect more than the "usual" in 6* shards (i.e. 1 not 2 or more nexus crystals) given the 4th was coming and so said so done. The rank up gem and r4 mats were nice. glory was not great (like a little over a week of map 8 AQ) ad the 5* nexus was not useful but hey it's "free".

Really feel like kabam could’ve and should’ve done a lot better. The package is okay but just okay and that’s the problem. Once again kabam did the very bare minimum. Should’ve been a choice between 3 different packages one for champ acquisition one for rank up and one for questing or something along those lines. To not include potions and revives in this package was a huge oversight. I would gladly trade in the r4 mats, loyalty, glory and 5 star nexus for potions revives and more gold. After all the hype this was such a huge letdown

They split out consumables because it made no sense to bundle up consumables for one big package, because that's nonsensical when it comes to consumables. So this package was never going to have potions and revives.
Not necessarily sure I agree with this. They have done it in the past. Earlier in the thread someone shared this:

@Typhoon That's because there wasn't weekly compensation for that package in 2020. That had pots and revs for all versions of questing and the thank you stuff because it was a one shot comp.

For these input issues, we have gotten-
1 big package in August last year.
Weekly comp for AQ/AW for 8ish months.
Questing comp about once a month or so.
2nd bigger thank you package today.

2020 was just the one package.

I'm kinda okay with what i got, little more would've made me happier? Sure! But i heard Cav players got t5cc selector, if thats true that's crazy for cav lvl, now they only need to beat gm to become TB if they are new cavs, if they are long time cavs that already beated gm just waiting to form t5cc now they have one. And TBs got what, not even half of a t6b/t3a cats. R3 gem is cool, but for late player what's important is r4, now kabam wouldn't give away r4 gem for free any time soon, but maybe full t6/t3a cats of each would've been great help to become paragon considering it takes 3 of both i dont think thats too much to ask.

I think the compensation was meh. It’s not awful but it doesn’t do anything to really say that Kabam understands the impact the game being broken for a year (and still is) has had on its players. I get there are many who are happy with it and that’s great for them. But for me, it’s just like, ok, that’s fine, nothing make feel excited about July 4th.

5* Nexus is pointless for Thronebreaker and above and leaves a bit of a bad taste. I genuinely feel like Kabam needed to create Carina’s Store and let us choose the compensation that benefits us individually the most. Or at least as others have said, multiple packages we choose from. Some in my Alliance don’t do War anymore so 1m loyalty is a waste for them, they wanted revives and health pots etc for questing. They can’t buy these with Loyalty and Glory.

It’s not like this has been a little problem. It’s been a monumental mess for a year and still is, this doesn’t feel like a big Uber thank you compensation. It feels like this is the minimum Kabam could offer and to only have to deal with a bit of a scuffle in the forums and avoid full scale riot.

I think the compensation is a little bit better than mediocre. It’s not a slap in the face, an insult or anything like that. It’s not underwhelming, it’s just… whelming.

I do think it’s hard in these situations to work out what would have been reasonable, and I think there’s an element of some people being disappointed no matter what because the hype of a year of issues sets unreasonable expectations.

However, I think if there was any time to go a little further with the “thanks for sticking around” aspect, it was now. I think the rank 4 materials were a fantastic amount, I’m happy with that. The 5* nexus while not useful to most later TBs is probably not aimed at those later TBs, but the earlier ones that still use 5*s.

I think really the issue is the 6* nexus. It’s kind of the centrepiece of the compensation. I think maybe 2 nexus, or one that has 5 options perhaps could have just taken it from mediocre to something special. Perhaps a 6* awakening gem Crystal, but that may be a little much considering how rare they are.

The compensation was ok. But I rather feel after a year of issues, Kabam should have gone for a little more than ok. I’m not furious, I’m not let down. Just musing on the feelings of having game-changing issues for a year.

Absolutely. You'd think with the absurdly long time to roll out such a crucial symbol of goodwill, they could have been more generous than they thought they needed to be.

Maybe you got the wrong package.

That was the bigger part Miike was referring to. All that stuff was more than what it was last time. The 2-3 generic gem is worth a full T5cc, 4 t5b and 8 t2A. That's a far cry from the 10% T5cc selector we got in August of last year.

Miike wasn't hyping anything up. You want it to look that way because you need a scapegoat.

That issue from 2020 lasted only for a few days. IIRC maybe even less then a week. Why or rather how would they give weekly compensation? It was a very generous compensation for that time.
