Spending sigil currency without active sigil

So I'm a long time player who took a break the last few months and have just recently started playing again some. I don't have the sigil active but i have a bunch of the currency from before, why can't I use the currency i paid for before without paying again? I went to awaken sigil witch and it won't allow it without renewing the sigil, is this intended?

    Access to black iso market is behind Activation of Sigil. Why wouldn't it be intended.

    Of course that's the case and should be intended for most of it, but spending currency you paid for already isn't the same as accessing the trade in portions. It's just holding hostage something they sold unless you buy more.

    I actually agree- i have sigil currency but decided to not buy it this month in favor of the summer camp stuff
    So i probably won't get to spend this stuff for the next 3 months 🤷‍♂️
