Just wanted to pop in and say I am also having the same issue, I just updated my game this morning about 30 minutes ago, had no issues beforehand.
I've tried force stopping the App, restarting my phone, and just restarting the App as well.

My device is a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE

Where did you get this info. I haven't heard anything since yesterday.

Last night I sent a ticket in about the issue and got a response from a member of the team saying that they are trying to find a fix. They didn’t give me any indication of when said fix would be available though.

They said that those affected will be compensated for the lost time no indication on what that will entail or when it’s going to happen

Same problem, iphone X can't login since i updated the game. I am hoping this doesnt affect the daily rewards. and it gets fixed before the next one comes.
