Thor or Rogue - 80s and early 90s were golden

Villain, is much harder. Magneto and Apocalypse for the above same reason and the immediate calls and too hard to pick one, but probs Magneto.

But it's really hard to ignore green goblin, Loki and doom for differing reasons. Goblin partly because he's the only one who truly pushed the joker in the senseless evil stakes, until marvel civilised him in the 00s.
