I hate the grandmaster

I've got him down to 17%. I've been trying for 3 days now. Farming arenas day in and day out to collect enough units for team revives only to go in and take 2 or 3% of his health because he will NEVER EVER EVER throw his sp1. That's it he just doesn't. I'm honestly a hairs length away from quitting this game altogether bruh

It's a tough fight and it will be a huge relief when you beat him.

    Don't give up!

    So wholesome guys!

It's a tough fight but definitely worth the struggle! Get ready to party when you beat him!

I’ve had some issues in the past, but maybe watching some YouTube videos will give you ideas on different ways to bait out specials. Just varying up your timing, or leaving yourself open and only just evading are things that I feel like people forget sometimes in high-effort fights.

Also, do you start baiting immediately after he gets a bar of power? If you wait until he is closer to two, it’s much harder to time the baiting properly. Also, it’s almost always worth failing one of his prompts in order to properly bait the special 1 and avoid the sp2. Some people hate to get a single token of blunder, but instead just get fully KOed.

Maybe talk through it a bit with us, and keep plugging! The first time at any big fight can always be tough, but it should get better!

Like the other person said. Put the game down for a while, or break from that fight for a bit. For me, I just beat him last night. It had been days, and I spent a depressing amount of revives and refused to end it because of that reason. Once I took some time and a watched an MCOC Noob video, I was able to push through. You got this ! Good luck.

I really struggled with that fight. As others have said, put the game down for a period of time. Only you how long is right. I got him to 3rd phase, gave it 1 attempt & realized I needed a break. When I picked up the fight the following morning, the elation, joy, & sense of accomplishment was great. It's worth it. Good luck

I pushed through act 6 completion just 2 weeks ago, covering the latter half of 6.2 all the way through grandmaster in the span of 2 days Be patient, know that you're not the only one to have struggled but you'll get him down!

Don't back down mate. Watch a few videos and be confident in your play.
Will be waiting for when you beat him. May your rewards bless you

I'd gift you some revives, but that option went out the door several years ago. This is one of those instances, gifting was so nice to have. Too bad it was exploited to oblivion.

I'd be curious to see what team you're working with too. As others said, a specific champ and some potions might be better off than a team revive. For me, Doom was throwing major damage. But also at the reverse control phase, I went with buffed Juggs so I could get through more than one grandmaster special cycle. I only revently went back and explored this thanks to buffed juggs. He really helped make this fight enjoyable compared to when I first met him and he took my lunch money. Don't give up now that you're this close - just pretend you're still in an eternity of pain (which it might feel like right now, but you'll be so happy and relieved when it's finally over).

If you’re not already using him I’d highly recommend MCOC Noob videos on YouTube!

Just varying up your timing, or leaving yourself open and only just evading are things that I feel like people forget sometimes in high-effort fights.

This is the only piece of advice on this thread that is going to help you.
I’ve been fighting the GM lately on my quest to explore Act 6, and what @Squirrelguy is telling you is right. When I am struggling to bait his SP1, I vary things up. I dash back, then push him back to his corner and create space, I’ll leave myself open for a second while preparing to evade, etc.
The GM is going to try to catch you off guard with his specials, so if you’re going to play things safe by blocking and dexing in the corner then you’re not going to get the result you need.
    High risk high reward.

It will be such a relief. My advice to people is once you are done, wait a day and then take the left path to 7.1.1 yondu...no boosts just for fun. I spent more units on this GM fight than 6.4 and 1 pass through act 7. Keeping in mind I didn't do them all back to back, lol.

He's only bad in the third phase all you need to do is survive until you get him to his wounded phase I too am stuck there

You are almost there buddy, don't get disappointed, I have been there not long ago, the way I did it, I played defensive, don't try to hit him, use dexterity when he dashes in, hit his block and dash back he will throw sp1, it's ok to get 2 or even 3 tokens of blunder as long as you are baiting his sp1. You will be fine. And be careful when you enter the fight after KO, he will start infuriated.
At this point you got him, get into his head, tell him "Alright big fellaaa, show me what you got" when you dex his attack, give him a laugh and tell him "is that all you can do" that will apply a taunt on him, trust me he will throw sp1s like crazy. You are on top of it. He is already down when he entered the 3rd phase and he knows it.
    Good luck mate.

    Hate this fight too.
Personally I remember Hyperion did it for me. Lots of patience and take a break if you need it.

Don't play any arena, nothing for a day, then come back fresh to try again.

Do not quit, you can do it.

Both of my accounts got Thronebreaker on the same day. Used Colossus for the GM fight on both accounts.

First account, burned through ~25 stashed revives and like 900+ units worth of revives and health pots.
Second account, used about 10 revives, no units required.

Moral of the story, once you get practiced at it, it becomes much easier.

I really wish there was a way to practice the different phases of this fight other than having to burn through all your revives and units.

ah come on, Grandmaster is probably one of the most fun fights, it just takes a while to figure him out, but u can solo him with just skill, i just hate that cashgrab Collector. That Carina Challenge to kill him with 3* cyclops is bs, it will probably be my last CC to clear
