I was confident with my champs but looking at some of the videos in YouTube they made me feel that some of these champs are outdated or something like that so I needed some upgrade advice...

Duped 5* having 2k rating is very low. You have some great champs like shang chi, human torch, hit monkey, etc
I agree with @Kylo about working on masteries.
Are you Cavalier, Thronebreaker, or Paragon?
Curious where are you at in the Story Quest? (Act 5, 6, 7, or 8)
What variants have you done?
Have you done the Abyss?
I am cav and done with 6.2.1... as far as variants are concerned I am doing the heroes one, done with the first chapter and nothing else...
Since you have 6.2.1 complete it would be worth to complete Act 6 and if you don't have a 6* R3 work on that so to as obtain Thronebreaker as the benefits are worth it. As a Cavalier player I know from what I've seen Thronebreaker get on daily crystals and offers in general I look forward to it, but currently stuck in Act 6.2.1 due to the Life Cycle Node and now with the game crashing so much makes it tough to progress.
Thanks mate, btw who do u think should be my immediate upgrade for that, I have resources for a r5 or a r2 or should I just bring the lower ranks to a higher position??

As for who to take to rank 3 of your 6* I say either Captain America Sam Wilson or Nebula unless you are able to get the resources for Shang-Chi. As for your resources I'd say go for a rank 5, as having some rank 5s will help with both health and attack. For R5s I'd say either go with Nick Fury or Human Torch. Both will serve you will in the current content you're in and for future content. Both solid champions.
Following those two then start working on Thing, Omega Red, Hit-Monkey, Spider-Ham, Guillotine, Aegon, Mojo, Red Hulk ,SpiderGwen, Heimdall, Quake, and Black Widow Deadly Origins. When it comes to that list remember checking out what content you are on and what are the needs along with what resources do you have or can get.
